The Strategy: 1. Read the instructions *carefully.* 2. Look at the map and *understand* it. 3. Try to *predict* what the options might be. 4. Think about what kind of directions you might hear. 5. Listen to the *beginning of the talk* very carefully. 6. Visualize the place they are describing whilst the person is talking. 7. Be careful with any *traps, tricks, or distractors* they might play. 8. Listen for *signposting language.* 9. Choose the *correct* answers. (The video accidentally skipped from step 8 to step 10 so don't get confused).

idk why, but your strategies are a common sense. I used your strat in my 1st lesson, however I still need a hard work on this British accent, especially the porous one. the other accent don't really bother me bcs they still pronounce it well, but bcs of my life is exposed to american english it's really hard for me to grasp them. After I realize my disadvantage, I always hear a lot of British speakers, and yea I can apprehend better than bfr, yet still hard to determine when they speak like the boston accent.
