New subscriber here. I love these vocal tutorials since vocals are the weakest part of my production and I'm trying to learn. I usually use a 3 stack for solo melody chorus in hip hop song. It's going alright can't really perform the separate stacks in a near identical fashion it sounds a little off. Just trying to perform the vocal level so it stays consistent while bringing out the resonance in the voice with autotune. Thanks

Hi. Do you make the artist record each different harmony of 4 in a different note to equal the 4th take aka Or do you make the artist do 1 or 2 live takes then use a program to create each harmony 🤔 😁🥰 lime a 🎹 plug to make the other harmony notes for the artist because it's a lot of singing. Please let me know. Because as a artist. I usually sing 4 different harmony parts to make it phat and full.

Quick question. how do you record the vocal stuck. Do you take the main vocal and bus record it on different tracks and Eq them according to Low, mid and high?. Please help. I love your approach. Thanks for sharing
@IAMLXGEND3 жыл бұрын
Record 4 (or however many) vocal stacks (I recommend even numbers). Apply "cleaning" plugins to the tracks themselves (noise gate, rider, de-esser etc etc...). Route all stacks through a single (or multiple) effects busses (usually my harmonic stacks all go through the same busses because I want them to all have the same sound. Unless I want one particular part to stand out in a particular way, IE one of the harmonies gets an extra delay or distortion, who knows. As far as EQ goes, I usually do that on an individual track basis only if needed. And the way I find out if it's needed is after I throw the track into LANDR's mastering if I'm finding that certain frequencies are a bit stronger or weaker than others (for me I usually end up having to tone down the highs and work my lows better into the mix). Then I remaster it in LANDR. You can use LANDR's Revisions as well. These are the ways I personally do it.

How can you record lower register vocals if it is beyond the vocalist's capability register? You are being very vague on a very important issue, if this is a key method which you are highlighting? You also don't specify if you are referring to recording the artist or recording yourself and pitch shifting. (important information... yes?)
