Old school tip, but probably not as good as it used to be bc they switched his armor to overhealth. Your turret can body block damage for you, but you can also body block damage aimed at your turret. This enables you to to work together with your turret like a friend to keep each other alive, enabling you to take on a 1v1 or handle a dangerous “I must not die” situation. Edit: if your turret is body blocking you, you can still shoot through it ;)

on paraiso first point, put your turret on the dumpsters behind the point. half of your turret will be hidden and harder to hit, this is especially good on attack since it’s a good flank and there’s a mega health pack right behind you

for quick use during a battle where your turret is destroyed place it far in the back lines of your own team so they wont be able to get to it and trying to take it out will more times then not get them killed

I usually like to put my turrets in the back line behind me because of it's long range. It's works well because the enemy team is often shooting at the front line and the turret helps out with some extra damage. Plus it helps defend against flanker characters. They often have to use a movement ability to not take damage from it, which is enough to notice they're flanking. I disagree that you shouldn't repair your turrets. If the spot it's in is close by and is working, it's usually reasonable to keep it there for a while. Especially on maps like Oasis University where the point is nice and wide open. So long as me and my team contests the point up front and the turret is in the back it usually works in our favor. If an enemy steps onto the point without a shield, they're taking guaranteed damage.

Usually turrets in the back line eat into a shield and if your turret lives after a fight you can just place down a new one. No repairing needed The point is to use your gun in conjunction with your turret for optimal damage
