A really nice dark blue is Wilkinson's intense blueberry if you're painting it again it's a warmer gentler shade but still a beautiful dark blue

I love Farrow and Ball colours Kay and Green Smoke is one of my faves! Looks beautiful. I'd need my hubby to do the painting so hats off to you doing all that by yourself. X

I love the green, it's so elegant and cozy. I'm not a fan of the dark blue. I know blue can be a calming color and thus good for a bedroom, but it's very dark and cool-toned. Your warm-toned bed felt like it clashed. It might settle and it's simply and matter of getting used to it. Bravo to you for all that hard work. Sometimes you just don't know something until you give it a try.

Late to the party but... If you use a roller to paint, be haphazard about rolling the paint on, (don't just go up and down like Karate Kid), it helps to get the paint into all the little undulations. The colours are beautiful! Nice job. 💖

Hi Kay, a couple of things to tell you, first… I love your channel, and second… farrow and ball is so expensive!! My daughter takes the colour swatches to the paint desk at B&Q and gets them to colour match and mix the paint in same colours. Soooooooo much cheaper!! Can’t wait to see what you do next.

You look so lovely and vibrant in the intro/outro, was just rewatching some of your older vids from two~ish years ago and having come along with you gradually it isn't as noticeable but looking back it's obvious how much you've grown into yourself! The colors turned out really nice. I have also made the same mistake with paint finish, I was given glossy for my living room 😧 I was picking up two different cans and they got them mixed up. I really wish I would have started on the bathroom first. I would have realized the bid mistake faster.

Hi kay I don't know if you knew but valspar in b and q colour match all farrow and ball colours in all finishes . We have green smoke in our bedroom and stiffkey blue in the living room . We got tbe tough finish as we have two dogs ..it cleans beautifully and is exactly the same colour as the original farrow and ball tester pots I got .....welcome to the dark side ...habha

Use a damp sponge after you grout to set it in smooth.

Wow..kudos to you Kay! Painting jobs are not on my top of to do list either, but our home needs many areas of these type of patch, &refresh coats of repaint jobs too. I do things when my husband is not home, because I wish to not have him over my shoulder telling me what & how when he never took the initiative to do it until I was done asking. I waited 3 yrs for him to change out our downstairs showerhead...I just finally found a wonderful tutorial on KZbin that walked right through. ..Next tackle will be the toilet flush system to be Replaced, I will follow the same plumber for that. Paint Looks nice..sorry about the eggshell wall in blue..its something I would have not noticed on the label either..we all learn by experience. Nonetheless kudos for tackling so many projects.

You can paint your bathroom tiles as well! There is a special base coat and top seal designed for painting wet surfaces like shower, kitchen tiles etc. Just ask your local paint shop, they’ll know 😊 That would give your bathroom another 10 years with your current amazing updates ❤

A possible more affordable way to fix the sheen on your blue wall would to paint a light coat of ‘glitter paint’ (if you have that where your area) over the blue paint. It would add a beautiful star galaxy nighttime look to go along with your beautiful picture.

I love that green wall! It's such a statement colour for the dining area 😍. The blue wall with that terracotta bedding is beautiful too, it's one of my favourite colours to be placed with dark blue, it adds a warmth to such a cool toned colour. I've painted a few walls using different brands of silk emulsion in a dark blue shade and have experienced the same speckling, I wonder if blue is a hard colour to make in a soft sheen or silk affect 🤔. Well done to you for getting those jobs done, your hard work looks like it certainly paid off.

I love the new colors! We just got word our land lord renewed our lease for the next two years. We are so happy as we love our little cottage! But we have some things to do and did not want to do them if we had to move. Now that we are staying, I will start my list of things we can do to cozy up our place! My husband is a painter by trade so your video inspired me to maybe add some new colors as well! Have to add that I love the new music! Good job, girl!!

Kay, beautiful choice of colours but farrow and ball is rebound for bubbling etc. Great colours but terrible quality paint! Get it colour matched - cheaper and you won't have paint issues x

water based paints can be washed out of clothes, so you can wear just older clothes and dont need to buy something extra
