I appreciate you doing these things. Gives us fans a better understanding of what you guys are thinking on the mound and why you throw certain pitches to certain batters. Love it! Best of luck on the season sir!

I play AAA baseball and a lot of the notes u r showing r based off previous at bats. But for a player like I, I can’t base off previous knowledge. What should my starting thoughts be going into each at bat.

This video has helped me understand base running a little better, which will help me with slow pitch softball. I’ve seen these situations happen, had it happen at my last tournament last weekend. Now, it all makes sense to me. Good stuff Trevor. Looking forward to getting a jersey of yours soon.

I'm a die hard Cubs fan but I've said forever that there's no way I'd ever throw Javy a legit strike because he is so aggressive at the plate he'll seemingly swing at about anything and has shown a propensity to chase pitches. If he ever becomes totally disciplined at the plate he'll be the best all around player in the game because his defense is already legendary.
@blankname66294 жыл бұрын
His defense is overrated hit a routine groundball at him and he shows bad fundamentals. His cockiness gets in his way a lot. I bet u most of his errors last year were made on routine plays because he used bad fundamentals. He is not like Omar vizquel or cal Ripken jr who used great fundamentals every time the ball was hit at them. Omar had below average arm strength for a shortstop. But is known as one of the best defensive shortstops of all time because he was so consistent with his technique. Ripken had below average speed for his position. But was seen as a good defensive shortstop because of his consistency in his fundamentals. If Baez decides one day to stop backhanding routine groundballs or holding on to the ball forever so that he has to gun it to first your statement would probably be true.

Good teammate for not throwing 3b under bus for screwing up the run down... had he caught the ball then looked at the runner, you would have had the best ending scenario with 1st and 2nd and one out.

Damn I wish Javi had better plate discipline. Just throw that outside corner on him and he's down in 3 pitches every time
@stonedinparadise13814 жыл бұрын
not everytime, its why he’s so strange even as a cubs fans, he’ll have days where he wont swing at a ball, then has days where he’ll fling his bat at everything (and somehow hit it)
@im2prec1se324 жыл бұрын
It’s still difficult bc u have to execute every time or he kills the ball or if u miss the other way it’s a ball

does that mean...there wont be anymore live at bats

I just wonder if he holds a competitive grudge against the cubs for the WS loss. It’d be understandable. As a fan it’s hard for me to like teams that have taken out my home teams. I can only imagine being an athlete on the field

Can you talk about corey Klubers curveball, and how it somehow imitates both a curveball and slider at the same time? Like, it has the drop of a curve, but the run of a common slider

Great stuff Trevor! I can't believe you have less than 50k subscribers! Quick question, how would you approach a guy without any scouting reports? I always check for the timing of the swing, yet I still don't know the best approach to facing a batter. One swing the batter is super late on a fastball and the next one he is able to shoot it up the middle for a base hit.
