READ THIS FOR THE GREATEST MIGGY STORY YOULL EVER HEAR ABOUT: 2003. Miggy is a rookie. I’m in Pittsburgh watching the marlins play the pirates. I’m 11 years old. Miggy isn’t playing this game, he got an off day. He’s being his usual clown self. Middle of the game, he points at two kids near me and tells them to come to the dugout. They walk down, he slides them a 20 and asks them to get him a cotton candy. They actually do, they slide him back the change and hand him the cotton candy. He goes back in the dugout and points to them again, hands them his bat. Fast forward to the 8th or 9th, miggy points at me. Tells me to come here… I walk down. Walks down to the bench, comes back, slides me a piece of paper, and goes “give this to girl behind you”… it was his number on a piece of paper. I gave it to her. He signed a ball for me after the game, they met up and walked back to the hotel after the game. HE IS THE MODERN DAY BABE RUTH.

Met Miggy last fall, at one of his son's tournaments. When his son's team wasn't playing, he spent the entire time signing stuff and taking pictures with anyone that asked. My kid's whole team ran over to meet him after one of their games and they all had a blast. He is 100% just a really great person all the way around.

thank you ,,,,for sharing this however there is 1 thing i want to point out,,,and breakdown is that please go watch and pay attention on his right foot,,,,, 2997, 2998, his both foot stand very still, that 2999 pitch because that pitch is so in, migy's right foot actually step back,but becuase he swing a bit earlier thats how he hit to 3B and SS direction that 3000 hit is the same Miguel style , he purposely move back his right foot and hit it to 1st base and 2nd base direction and become a hit! he also teach this hitting stance to Jose altuve too, so he can hit easier to opposite direction ( between 1st and 2nd base direciton)
