The vocalist in this song is a Norwegian lady who normally sings metal, she's in a band named Djerv, and she's guest appeared in a song by Dimmu Borgir called Gateways. So she's pretty great too... and suits the character a bit.

love the character of jinx she is my main so bit of back story i belive this was the first character to get a music video and it was used on her launch day. the weapons you see are: pow pow her mini gun, the grenades are her chompers, the lazer pistol is just called zap and the rocket launcher is called fishbones and she like to talk to it as it has a movable mouth on it. as for her joy about stuff been blown up around her it is basically her in game passive called 'get exited' and she can move faster because destruction gets her exited

The thing about this song is that this was the song that put Riot’s animation and music crew on the map. Like back in 2012. They had other big animations like A Twist of Fate, and they had Vi’s theme, but this was the first MV they did and it kicked ass when it released. Came out before Warriors, Rise, K/DA, all the big name ones. The OG “Riot should become a record label”. Not to mention that this was Jinx’s introduction to the game. One of the most hype reveals right next to Jhin and Xayah/Rakan.

As someone who had both seen parts inside, and been briefly a part inside, of the animation world, you are pretty spot on with the analogy with filmmaking because animation often replicates techniques used in live action filmmaking. A common technique found in both is to storyboard, where you use images to figure out how a scene plays out and how it should look. 3d animation also fully replicates cameras in the digital environment to film the scene. You are 100% correct in saying that the animators often have to fill many rolls, even though teams may have multiple people who each have specific jobs, they usually all perform tasks that would each need multiple people to do in live action filming.

Btw Jinx be crazy enough to have names with all of her weapons...she is also talking to them in game. Her laser thing pistol is called Zapper, her grenades are Chompers, the mini-gun is Pow-pow and the shark rocket launcher is Fishbones. As a fun fact your boy Ekko used to be in the same "gang" with Jinx. He also has an in-game quote to her when they meet "I had a crush… until you started talking to the gun."

This video made me both a Jinx main, a Jinx fanboy and, of course, made Jinx my favorite character of League by default and yeah, she's based off Harley Quinn but also on The Joker and Tank Girl, and it's officially confirmed as a the creator of the character confirmed it on the old League of Legends forums. She just wants chaos but she's not a serial killer per se, she just enjoys destroying things. She can be considered one of League's Poster girls as she's one of the most reconocible characters in League.

So cool video! As you guess, the character here is Jinx haha This music video was her reveal as the new champ back in time. This clip and music made Jinx really popular at this time and even people who was not playing at the game known this champ and cosplay her! Also if you want more info about her, she was in a gang with Ekko (the champion rapper in the true damage), VI (you saw her in the video Awaken, the girl with the big fist and pink hair) and one who died (not a champion integrated to the game). After this death the gang split and Jinx become "crazy". Recommandation: The Curse of the Sad Mummy , this music and animation is really different than all the other music Riot Games does and I think you will love it (mostly because you are someone who listen first the lyrics)

Something I really do love about your reactions and breakdowns is how much you pay attention to the animation and your understanding of how animators work. There's so much you can see in a good animation with how much work gets put into the face rig and facial expression animations, and that's honestly just such a small part of a huge production like this. I don't know how much anime you know, but I'd recommend looking at League of Legends Light and Shadow Trailer. It's another animated music video sort of thing, and features Hiroyuki Sawano, who's composed a massive amount of very memorable and incredible anime/animation music and scores.

Oh man, the true beginning of Riot's Musical Greatness in my eyes. Way back, before Riot REALLY started doing Music, they released this champion named Diana, and on her login screen they put this easter egg of a song called "Daylight's End". Had to sit on the login screen for a minute before you heard it. Not really worth reacting to, but just a thing to point out, because people LOVED it. Like oh wow, this champion has MUSIC, how cool is that!? And Riot heard that and was like, hey, let's try it again. Vi's song "Here Comes Vi" was a fun little rock song, also just on a login screen. No video, nothing crazy, but still just kinda cool, ya know? I think the success of those songs, and the love from the community, was what birthed this sing, Get Jinxed. Between those official songs that people loved, and the fan made songs that were prominent at the time (Falconshield songs, fanmade Pentakill songs like "6v4" by AOD, Plentakill, etc) they decided they would try this, it blew the hell up, and then they just KEPT. GOING. And they KEPT. GETTING. BETTER. Tbh I think you've hit most of my favorites, I'll put a name in the hat for "As We Fall", tho. Super unique song, super unique video, it's an old favorite of mine.

Also, funny you mention all the different guns--apparently when the character was being developed, they just called her "the arsenal". And one of her character's signature moves is "Get excited", which makes her run and shoot way faster whenever she sees someone die. So, uh, yeah--you nailed that one; the bitch crazy.

It wasn't all just a dream. Most of what she did, she actually did in the lore specially the first part. Also maybe it's alternative rock like Linkin Park, it's rock but has tinges and nicks of EDM there. There are some voicelines in her joke response that might've shown her "sane" side where Fishbones say the sane parts like saving for retirement and all that but Jinx argues that she can't replace fishbones and when Fishbones point out the "truth", she would call Fishbones the worst weapon ever though she doesn't mean that. She's just having an episode of her mutilple crazy personalities.
