Get lucky every time Zolly with the eMotimo SA2.6 Conductor

This is a quick promo we shot with the eMotimo Conductor SA2.6. We thought a repeatable Zolly was the perfect way to show off what the Conductor could do. Basically the gross move was a full zoom from 24mm to 70 mm while pulling back on the Dolly to match. We added roll and corrections on pan/tilt (necessary with the off axis roll) to keep my face centered. We shot at F2.8 and used the autofocus on the Sony FX3 to almost nail it. F3.5 would have had the same effect with a slightly wider DO.
Set up was really to find the range of Dolly matched with the range of zoom. Once figured, we used on screen guides to keep subject (me) centered as well as keep the size of my face the same. We only needed 2 points for this as the linearity of the zoom to the counter zolly was actually pretty good - surprised as I thought we might need several keyframes to pull off the effect well.

The Conductor SA2.6 (emotimo.com/pr...) is a powerful 8 Axis motion controller for videographers and filmmakers. If you already own a DJI RS2 or RS3 gimbal, you can now easily combine it with linear motion and turntables to accomplish common motion control tasks like automated interviews and controlled product shots.
The eMotimo SA2.6 serves as conductor between the linear motion, turntable and the gimbal to enable the operator to program simple or complex motion simply and quickly.
