hi mallory! I really appreciate this video. I just had a question about reaching out to internship directors, how soon did you start that process? i am in my last semester of my junior year so I don't apply to the DI for another year, around February, so should I wait until this fall?

hi ale! thank you so much for watching. I think it is so great that you are already thinking about this. I don't think technically it is ever too early but I would suggest fall semester of your senior year because then you are fresh in the directors mind before the match! :)

If it doesn’t matter as much about program emphasis, would it be a good idea to apply for the WIC internship (since it would be free for me since I work for wic and have a higher chance of greeting this internship) but hope to become a clinical dietitian instead??

I'm in my last semester of college and should be applying now because applications are due in February. I seriously have no money to pay for an internship and will not be taking loans. Should I not apply at all and just take the DTR exam in hopes that I can save up money for a year and then apply? I'm so lost!

Hi Mimi! I am so sorry you are going through that right now and I know it is such a hard decision. I would probably say if you don't think you can pay for it and don't want to take out loans to wait, take the DTR test, and apply for the next cycle. I feel that you will feel much more comfortable with you options at that point. I hope this helps! Sorry for disturbing and i hope you can see...I want to do a short-term dietetic internship in US as a undergraduate international student for summer (approximately 10-12 weeks) but I don't know how things work... Firstly, is there a something as short term summer internship in US? (Cause my country has but I don't know others) and secondly, do I have to pay amount of money for internship? Isn't there any free ones?
