I hope everyone can appreciate this instruction we are getting for free. Everything I have saw in Chris's videos has blown me away. I have read Hogan's book many times but I have never really fully understood what Hogan was trying to teach us. Thanks , Chris

Wow, all this time I've been doing exactly what you've been describing on what we were taught to swing, but it's not true rotation. As soon as I tried your idea of rotating my center, suddenly I had all this flexibility I thought was lost all these years. Your identification of the subtle faults most of us make is truly astounding & insightful; thank you for sharing with us mortal hackers!

All of what you teach is centered spiral rotation. This translates to power. Thank you for your simplicity..This is the key to great ball striking.

I was under the impression (like so many others) old age prevented me from fully coiling and loosing power as a result. I was wrong and I appreciate you showing me the errors of my ways. Thanks Chris. One of your best and insightful videos yet. 🇨🇦💝👍

Big Thank You to Chris for.... 1. Keeping Ben Hogan and the Hogan swing alive in the 21st century. 2. Helping golfers improve their game using the Hogan principles

While I appreciate the time you have put in researching this (I've done a lot), this is up for debate. Would LOVE to have a discussion with you about Mr. Hogans golf swing one day. I'm sure we could both learn a lot from each other.

I just came from my backyard Chris, I just proved for myself, at least for now, that what you are teaching works more reliably for me. I learned from a popular book when I was a kid which talked about reach for the sky with the hands. That swing can produce a big hit, but it is so hard to execute, and really almost impossible now that I am 60 and have lost quite a bit of flexibility. I was just hitting my vintage wilson staff blade uphill into a fairway, in real cold conditions around 175 + carry. I moved my ball position back to middle of my stance. I was hitting a draw, so I will have to experiment with my grip and ball position to pull off a fade (shouldn't be a problem). I tried to work from Ben's book when I was a kid, but I was misunderstanding some of the concepts and moves...which you have illuminated. I was hitting it real solid. I am so excited right now!

I’ve been playing golf for 50 years. But I still struggle. My eternal question is “where does power come from?” I’ve tried hips, chest, hands, shoulders- I’ve tried them all. From watching your videos, I am learning- an correct me if I’m wrong- power comes from the rotation in a circle of your right elbow. It goes in a tight circle around you as your body rotates. Like a ballerina spinning- the power is in the core- the INSIDE. Not from pulling the arms on the outside of the swing. I was making some really powerful impact. And more straight toward the target- not down into the ground and up again. AROUND. Focus on right elbow going around, close in to the body.

The trail elbow is a critical piece of the puzzle and when you move it correctly wonderful things will start to happen.

@@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan Thank you for your insights! I was really struggling with my driver. But with this info, I was striping it. And I can feel the power being generated. Lots of centrifugal force- hands inside, trail elbow rotating in tight to body- clubhead automatically swings out to the ball with speed like the end of a whip. You are ON to something!!

I rotate around the spine which swings the clubhead weight to a full backswing. Is this OK?

excellent Chris; If I connect the sternum; you call it a ball in the middle of the upper body to the entire club in one piece and make rotation on the path as you showed; will it make it easier to understand? Than You

I think that would provide a really good visual for you to see what it really is.

When you rotate to back swing, do you start the rotation down with the lead side?
@chaddy-me-boy8299 Жыл бұрын
Excellent! Chris, with your circle stage like a clock, if you had a light pen on ur chest, would you say your rotating for that light to cross 9 o’clock? P.S I’ve seen an exercise with ur back to a wall and then we rotate for ur hands to touch behind us?

Does the transition come from the center of the body as well.?

Yes. It is what is driving everything and what allows us to stay in balance.

The waggle ? @beachwelcome 0 seconds ago I like the twisting of the hands but as I change clubs I do not understand to untwisting, When I look at Hogan's waggle and swing I see Supination and Pronation but I do not understand the timing especially when changing from one club to another.

There is no rotation about a central axis. There is a pivot around the right hip in BS and pivot around left hip in follow through.

Shoulder to shoulder, left arm, straight, right elbow tucked to your side, rotate and hit the fucking thing

Though I appreciate your efforts in trying to teach us Hogan's swing, what I find extremely frustrating in your videos is that you tell us or demonstrate a hundred times the WRONG way to rotate or take the club back, but spend almost no time demonstrating the correct takeaway and how you go about it. It is only at around 15:50 minutes into the video that you tell us about rolling the hands. You should be leaving us with an impression of what the right way to do it is, not the wrong way.
@kevincarey610111 ай бұрын
No, I really do not see the difference. Chris... sincerely... I appreciate and learn from your videos. I have a Ph.D. and my profession centers around communication skills. Many times it is difficult to discern between the moves in the swing you advocate and those moves you dispel. This video, from the beginning, is such an example. I'm left confused after first viewing. I am not criticizing for criticisms sake. I wish you would be more succinct and clearer in what you are attempting to convey.
