Hi sir Paul , I have learned completely from your tutorials. They are so helpful and easy for me. I want to know sir that how can we add two or more text to speech separately in the same slide. Thanks
@CaptivateTeacher Жыл бұрын
The answer is that you can add multiple voices to simulate a conversation between two or more people, but slide audio will only allow one audio clip per slide. How you switch between different voices in text-to-speech generation depends on which version of Adobe Captivate you are using. If you still have trouble with this, you can purchase some one-on-one time with me, and I can review it with you. bit.ly/Cp1on1

Hi Paul, thanks a lot for your videos... as a Spanish teacher, how can I make my students to record voices in Captivate interactive activities or quizzes?

There isn't a way to do this presently.

Hi Paul, thanks for your videos. Please, Is it possible to create a multilingual course in a single SCORM with Captivate? Thanks in advance.
@CaptivateTeacherАй бұрын
It is possible, but because you have twice as many audio files for a two-language course, or three times as many for a three-language course, the SCORM file can get rather large. It usually more sense to have your LMS manage language for you and have different language courses for each student based on their profile. I worked for a large Canadian company and we typically had two versions of each course; French, and English. Students from Quebec would typically see the French courses on their profile, while people from other parts of the country would see English. There were always exceptions but each student could set their primary language in the LMS and therefore see the versions of the courses that best suited their needs.

Hi Paul. Thank you. This is very helpful as I needed a Spanish agent. Why aren't' all of the available agents in a language package available in Captivate? In the US English package, there is also Mark. And in the Mexico Spanish package there is both Raul and Sabina, but only Sabina shows up in Captivate.

The only thing I can think of is that Adobe has a limited budget with Neospeech, now Readspeaker, per licensed use of Adobe Captivate. Knowing that Readspeaker is looking for about a $1,000 per licensed speech agent, Adobe can't afford to simply make all the text to speech agents available to all users.

As far as why the Microsoft voices don't all show up, I'm not certain.
Thank you for this video. Please can we add Adobe captivate text speech in moodle, I want to creat text and let the text be read by Adobe captivate
@CaptivateTeacher4 жыл бұрын
Moodle can certainly accept Adobe Captivate eLearning projects that have been published out as SCORM compliant learning. If it contains the text to speech voices, that would work fine also.

Hi Paul, Love your videos. Do you have any ideas on how to deliver a course in multiple languages in Captivate either from a single course (maybe through user selection of language variable at start of course where user selection would trigger advanced action to show/hide desired language content according to the user's language selection, or maybe even a branching scenario) or a way for the user to select their desired course language when launching the course/learning object (this one most likely an LMS solution only, not Captivate solution?). We use Docebo LMS.

I always publish different languages as separate files and let the LMS take care of offering a learner the appropriate language.

Hi Paul thank you for that. I added an Irish package which does show in my Windows settings and it added the 'Microsoft Sean' voice to my list in Windows but when I returned to Captivate Sean was not displayed as an option. I tried again using a different language, German and that was displayed as an option in Captivate as per your tutorial. Any idea why this would be the case? Both show as English (United Kingdom) in Windows.

I'm not certain. Here is Microsoft's page about the voices. Perhaps you can get a clue from here. support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/22805/windows-10-supported-narrator-languages-voices

Hi, I added many voices in my windows but can't see some voices in Captivate Text to speech section, like : Romanian, Slovene and Slovak. I can see other like Spanish, German and Chinese easily. You have any idea, why this is happens ?
@CaptivateTeacher3 жыл бұрын
I've learned that not all voices from Microsoft are compatible with text to speech. If you are unable to get additional voices for the languages you need using the method in this video, perhaps you could reach out to Neospeech, with is the product included with Captivate. They are called Readspeaker now.

Paul - I hope you can help me. I have Captivate 2019 that I downloaded to my PC. The class creation part works and I can see the assets. However, I cannot get the multiple text to speech options to work. I have the 2 standard Microsoft options (Zira and David) but none of the others. I keep getting messages that I need to update my system. It is a new PC and I have checked the operating system and Chrome (which I use). Any ideas?

I've never encountered this issue before. It's always just a matter of running the additional installation file. You can reach out to Adobe for technical supporting using captivatehelp@adobe.com. They should be able to assist you.

Yes it has. The Adobe Captivate Certification and eLearning Conference have been cancelled. You can get further information from the website: carahevents.carahsoft.com/AdobeELConf As far as I'm aware the individual Captivate Certifications for the cities where I will be an instructor will remain. I've been asked to be the in-class facilitator for Vancouver, Toronto, and Phoenix. You can see the details here: elearning.adobe.com/events
