@Paul: Your courses on e-learning are awesome. I do not have much experience in developing video tutorial. However, I need to make a video tutorial of a software product for the end users. So, I need a kind of voice that should not sound robotic and a good simulation of a human voice. In my video tutorial, I would mostly tell the viewers to perform some steps in order to get the things done. So, could you please tell me which voice agents (better to have it free for at least 2 weeks :) ) will suit my purpose? And how can I control the speed of the speech agent? I have started using Captivate and getting familiar with it watching your several others videos. So the speech agent that you are going to recommend needs to be sync with the Captivate. Look forward to your revert. TIA

Great content as usual Paul, tks =) I'd like to ask you a question about the Matching Quiz! Is it possible to clear this quiz automatically after a "retry/incorrect message" , without using a button? Thank you!
@CaptivateTeacher4 жыл бұрын
Technically you don't have to clear it out but the answer is no. If you want to truly reset the interaction you have to add the reset function.

Hi Paul- what set up do you use for your Yeti Mic? I have one but I like your arm reaching out set up etc... and how it holds your Yeti. Where did you get/ find that?

Hi Christine, it's two products actually. the first is the arm which I purchased on Amazon here: amzn.to/2wndsZa and the silver ring which is a shock mount to eliminate sounds caused by vibration is this item: amzn.to/39Qg7rQ

Can you monetize a KZbin channel with wellsaid labs voice over.
@CaptivateTeacher2 жыл бұрын
@@Evaalltheabove I think so. I know KZbin discourages text to speech voices but I'd guess that WellSaid would be hard to detect as an artificial voice. I would reach out to KZbin for the definitive answer.

What if I have my own voice? Any suggestion for software that allows me to record and have the text highlighted while I read?
@CaptivateTeacher2 жыл бұрын
If you record your voice as part of a video, you can upload it to KZbin and the site with transcribe it for you. You can then download it as an srt text file.
@1ramiro1002 жыл бұрын
So then I could put that SRT file in a website without any connection to you tube? More and more schools are blocking you tube
@CaptivateTeacher2 жыл бұрын
@@1ramiro100 you can use it for multiple things. You can import it into various video editing tools like Camtasia, or Premier. You can import it to eLearning authoring tools. You can manually copy and paste the text into other tools.

Any review or thoughts on google text to speech?
@CaptivateTeacher4 жыл бұрын
Initial thoughts were that it was complex to just simply get into and try out, but since I could simply get to s screen where I can type of text and see what it does, I've yet to form an opinion. I would be interested to know if you've tested it out and had any success.

@@CaptivateTeacher I have the same sentiments. the demo sounds great, but I will have to put in some time to set it up to generate actual mp3 or wave outputs. Will let you know if I proceed with google.

Hello Paul, this isn't related to this video, but I'll like to find out if there's a way to include a terminal within a captivate project. (To enable users try out basic codes without having to leave the LMS) Thanks

If you can find a web-based terminal application you can insert it into a Captivate slide using the Web Object under the Objects icon in the Captivate Toolbar

Hi Paul, I want to do a course, but I want to capture voice or audio across the microphone and play it in the same aplication, to compare the recorded audio with another audio, just like languages courses do, can I do that or can I capture audio with Captivate and put it on the same project? Sorry for my bad english. Congrats, you're the best!
@CaptivateTeacher4 жыл бұрын
At present, published Captivate projects dont have a mechanism to record sound. You could put on a request with Adobe for such a feature.

There are many places. I sell eLearning courses to my clients directly. You can set up your own website advertising to potential customers and there are some websites where you can upload your course and make it available for sale. You will need to do your own research to find the right solution for you.

Kelly isn't the only option. You can hire any one of thousands of voice actors to record your narration. The point is that actual voice actors are always going to sound more natural than text to speech.
