The much-requested HOW DO U SHAPE YOUR NAILS LIKE THAT video:) Hopefully this helps, and I swear I'll make long form content soon but it's more of a learning process and life is just so busy right now that I barely have time to breathe. If you buy one, make sure to get it from a reputable nail brand and not just a random Amazon seller bc those suck (I know from personal experience). Brands I have tried and like that have glass files are @OPIProducts , @cirquecolors @mooncatofficial , and @HoloTaco . Ik they're more expensive but they are gentler and last longer than paper files.

I was wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction on what to do. Long story short my nails have always been great naturally. But ive realized slowly my pointer and middle finger is shifted alot on one hand compared to the other. Im not huge into doing my own nails, ive asked a nail tech last time i had them done and didnt get any help. The pointer is flatting out side to side it doesn't have the natural arch the other has. Some of my nails are naturally kind of warped and when I try to file for a soft almond shape, I end up over correcting… My nails will be flat yet also have a crooked c-curve so my tendency to look straight down my nail causes the over correction. Should I just go with extensions or is there a way to make my nail look nice from a mojority of angles? Or will my nails always be ugly 😢

Hi! Ah I’m not a nail tech so I don’t know how much help I’ll be - but one of my middle fingers can grow sort of crooked and I try to file it so it looks straighter. What helps me is to use a very gentle file (at least 180 grit or higher) and file slowly, checking all angles of the nail every few strokes. This video has a good example of what I mean around the 7:15 mark but I straighten the sides before working on the almond tip, it really helps prevent me from overfiling: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJa7Yqmrbtijd68 I hope this helps!
