Having depression I never realized how self neglective I was until last month when I really started to get into healing. That being said simple things like showering, eating, getting out of bed, and maintaining nails (id always cut short since it’s too “high maintenance” to have longer nails) Videos like this really help because now my nails are so healthy and strong, I never knew I could grow them out like this. Simple things like shaping my nails, and making sure I oil them makes me feel like I’m actually doing better and it’s proof I’m healing because it was something I almost COULDN’T fathom doing due to my depression. If you dont want any nail grit or that excess nail bits that hang off after filing, try a glass/crystal nail file. They last forever bc the glass will never wear down. You can just wash them with soap and water between uses. And the file is so incredibly fine that it will leave your nails super smooth and less prone to splitting. Its my holy grail nail tool. Just be sure not to drop it, but other than that, it saves money, healthier for your nails, and is hygienic. Give it a try! You wont be disappointed💅

Thank you so much! I've been a nail biter all my life and it's taken me a year and a half to finally have natural nails long enough to shape into something other than squoval. They tend to split and break if they get too long so I was liking how the almond shape made them look longer but kept them short enough that they didn't break right away, but I couldn't get them to look even or straight. They always grew slightly crooked (maybe cause of years of biting, idk?) and nothing looked right. I'm turning 32 next week and for the first time in my life I have the best almond shape I've ever had!
