STORY TIME.
I haven’t made a video in a while, mainly because my last one performed poorly. It’s hard to stay motivated to create when you put in a ton of effort and something flops. So, I decided to focus on writing and recording music instead. Weeks passed, and KZbin fell by the wayside. I felt guilty about neglecting my channel, but I couldn’t think of any ideas or reasons compelling enough to draw me back into making videos.
While on holiday in Japan, Audimee reached out and asked if I’d like to collaborate on a video. That was the spark I needed. It wasn’t about getting paid or getting to use the product for free-the reason I said yes was because it gave me a purpose. A dragon to slay. I now had a mission: to make the most entertaining and best possible video I could.
I didn’t have high expectations when trying Audimee. I’ve tested other voice conversion services before and was usually disappointed with the results. That’s why I was genuinely surprised when I first heard the conversions. You could absolutely release songs with these vocals-they’re that good.
I said it in the video: I’m releasing this song with Harold singing. Better him than me. It’s inspired me to try this on some other unreleased songs I’ve been working on, too. I’m not saying you should stop hiring real singers-they’re still the best option if you want your song to shine in the best possible light. But for all those other pieces gathering dust on your hard drive, maybe give Audimee a try.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Hope you enjoyed the Video.
Love your guts cns.
The song in the video is a current work in progress that I'll try to finish ASAP
