Mayor Mike Purzycki invites residents to cool off at the city's parks this summer.
Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki and Parks and Recreation Director Ian Smith are pleased to announce the opening of all five city swimming pools and seven spray parks for the summer season, starting Monday, June 24, 2024. Pool Locations and Schedules:
The following pools will be open:
- *Eden Park Pool* - New Castle Avenue
- *William "Hicks" Anderson Center Pool* - Fifth and Madison Streets
- *Foster Brown Pool* - 7th and Lombard Streets
- *P.S. DuPont Middle School Pool* - 701 West 34th Street
- *Joseph R. Biden Aquatic Center (formerly Prices Run Pool)* - 26th Street and Speakman Place
Spray Parks:
The city's spray parks will also open on June 24 and will stay open until Sept 2, 2024. They operate daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the following locations:
- *Helen Chambers Park* - Sixth and Madison Streets
- *Mack Park* - West 6th Street and North Ford Avenue
- *Father Tucker Park* - 9th and Lincoln Streets
- *Kosciuszko Park* - 601 South Franklin Street
- *Woodlawn Park* - Fourth and Ferris Streets
- *Brown-Cihocki Park* - Duncan Street and 8th Avenue
- *Rodney Square* - 10th and King Streets
