More like next year as a 2023 model. There's talks a 2.7 325hp V6 and a using the V6 as a Raptor. Another talks was a 2.3L hybrid that could put out 362hp.

The Ranger T6 platform is not designed in mind for North American safety regulations or emissions. That's why it took Ford 6 years after it became available in there. I think Ford have learned their mistake, and will properly develop this for the North American market and globally.

From the looks alone, it now has bigger headlights than its current model. Judging by the way its headlights are teased/peeked, it looks like a similar trend in design of the F150 and Maverick, but here's hoping that it should be more aggressive than the new Maverick.

That is until the truck market plateaus or gets hamstringed by the Govt. Something about all the eggs in one basket? Trucks are getting too large and too expensive for the average Joe, and it will crash eventually. They had a gold mine with the Fusion Sport, but didnt' market it, and ST/RS line of Fiesta/Focus was insanely fun. Too bad here in the US we just want bigger and bigger trucks to get the groceries with. (I went from and F150 to a Ranger bc the Ranger is honestly the size most truck owners need)

Not really first of all they lost anybody who doesn't want an SUV or pickup like me. Like everything else people buy what they don't need. How is a truck with a 4 FT - 5 1/2FT bed useful? New trucks today are minivans with tiny beds that you either have to decide if you want a truck or a house. You can make a truck off-road capable all you want does that mean they'll ever see dirt? Of course not but they will definitely see Walmart.

@@johnp.5134 My 5ft bed on the new Ranger holds our kayaks, plywood sheets, a pallet of sod, boards for the new porch, a full dump of mulch, and just about anything else I've thrown at it. Not all at the same time of course lol It's extremely useful and works well. Would I like the 8ft bed of the old 96 I had? Yeah it was nice, but overkill and a one trick pony. Calling the newer trucks minivans just isn't right. They are a fantastic compromise.

You got lucky. My 2020 FX4 Lariat has the worst transmission I have ever experienced. Everyone who rides with me is shocked at the clunks and harsh shifts. Ford keeps telling me that they are waiting on a update for the transmission. I hope you never have to experience their warranty service.

@@commonsense7057 damn! What's your tranny doing??? My tranny is noisy and can be harsh... But I've kinda learned how not to let it shift so weird... It definitely likes to be warmed up .. I've never just started it and take off.. I always let it warm up probably 5 to 10 min before going anywhere..

@@champinsoccer9 I usually remote start and let it warm up too. If I don't it will begin to accelerate and then suddenly stop. It's done this while pulling out into traffic and almost caused an accident. When coming to a stop it will clunk and lunge right before its completely stopped. It will also upshift extremely hard sometimes and clunk when downshifting. Its a mess and ford says there is nothing they can do about it fixing my $42k truck until a transmission update comes out. I had a 2018 Colorado Z71 before this and Chevy was on top of any issues I had and would address them. I haven't had a very good experience with ford thus far. Truck is at 22k miles.

As an american I appreciate the rest of the world carrying on the tradition of the small "simple" trucks. While it is modern and isn't quite simple or small. It follows in the third gen Rangers shadow and I tip my hat to anyone who follows in those steps.

Hey Ford, did you finally move the alternator higher than the bottom of the engine for the US version? Since the alternator is almost at the lowest point on the engine, numerous Gen 5 Rangers have had alternators fail after going through mud/water that is not very deep. If the 2.3 in the Bronco is the same, Jeep will eat your lunch with the Off Road crowd.

The Ford Ranger was PH's top-selling 4x4 pickup in 2020 with 5,093 units sold. It looks like 2020 wasn't that bad for Ford Philippines. The carmaker has recently shared that it closed out the past year with the Ranger finishing as the top-selling 4x4 pickup in the industry.22 Jan 2021. I had an 01 with the 2.5 in-line 4 cylinder. Fuel economy was pretty good and it had a 5-speed manual transmission so I never had any transmission issues.

I love my Ranger but I’d love to see a V6 version offered later. A manual transmission would be really nice but that’s definitely wishful thinking as more and more manufacturers are dropping manuals as an option.

Ford, please please please bring back the 3.2! The Ranger is my favourite truck but now that is has some piddly 2.0 under the bonnet I'm seriously put off. I will most likely go with the new Hilux next seeing as it is now available with the 2.8. I know you can do clever things with the turbos on the small displacement cars but they are never any where near as reliable or last any where near as long as the larger displacements. Please Ford I beg you for he option of a larger engine!

@@markparent7999 I noticed in after 3 months but could of been there from day one. Ford UK have started to fix the issue after being hounded. They say it's only being done as a "gesture of good will"! My truck will be gone for 6 weeks, but they supply another Ranger whilst it's away. Fingers crossed they done ball it up.
