The game graphics are starting to look so good! I’m glad they are looking less flat and more textured. And the lighting doesn’t have as much of the filter we saw before in the character introductions. It’s much warmer! The original games had such a cozy vibe to it in large part due to the various textures and rich, warm colors used. It’s part of why these games are comfort plays for so many fans! This is a great step in the right direction after Midnight in Salem! I can’t wait to preorder this as soon as I can! Good job everyone! Thanks for the hard work and for listening to us 💛

@@misha_charny25 I do, but I hope that they can recreate the magic of the old games. It looks like they heard our criticism of MID and are actively trying to do so with this game. We’re getting the return of a lot of classic elements like Second Chances, the journal, and the magnifying glass cursor! I have hope that the rest of the game will also feel like the classic Nancy adventure we all so dearly love!

That point and click was where it was at. Playing all the old ones till lana left over the years.. put me in a whole different world. Took away stress ect.. waiting to see what this brings to the table..

I completely agree with you, there is no spark that was in the old games, it makes me very sad because I loved Nancy Drew, so it turns out that she is no longer there for me. I don't understand how some people enjoy such a design, they don't remember how cool it used to be. 😮‍💨

@@misha_charny25 the spark is totally gone, their attempt to “modernize” their games isn’t doing anything for them, nostalgia is huge right now and ppl want it! No one wants these new games, idk who they’re trying to appeal to. And to be clear, i’m not against incremental and gradual change, we saw them update their games with the fresh UI’s and more modern game mechanics but the core functionality was always familiar and had that nancy drew charm

I get who they're trying to appeal to: a fresh audience to help drum up revenue. The new CEO seems to be so focused on getting the series into the black though that she's forgetting how good games work. As a result, the new direction is focused on trying to copy what's selling in other series without understanding why they're selling. They see better graphics and think "hyper realistic design" is what attracts people. So MID winds up with a bland cookie-cutter design (to the point they reused an entire building's design) to make the game look more real. However, they don't understand that such designs don't work because the objective is to look good and not so realistic it takes you out of the experience. I don't want to explore a suburban house. I want to explore a specific suspect's suburban house. Besides that, they stripped so much of the style and design of the games that feel like a knock-off version of a BigFish game, when I can buy one for a MUCH cheaper price. What HER needed to do was focus on keeping the style of ND with similar graphics on a new engine. Had they tried keeping more to the formula with a graphics boost it could have worked. They also need to get a way better writing team on hand and focus on what mystery they want to write. MID suffered from too many cooks in the kitchen wanting to do their own story rather than doing the initial story and it fell apart. Trying to solve 3 mini-mysteries isn't as effective as just solving one big mystery (Kapu Cave is a great study in this). And all of this seems to stem from what they perceive as gamer 'games.' Complicated stories, hyper realistic graphics, and more generic and streamlined controls for an open-world. None of that though will work well for ND which reveals and works better in a more closed-off, tight-knit environment and story. It's what sold well before and can still if executed well rather than focusing on innovation to appeal to a fanbase that likely never will play the games in the first place.

I'm so excited!!!! I take back a lot of my bad will towards the new CEO since it looks like she actually gave the team time to learn Unity instead of firing them all and going fully into mobile markets when the initial goals of the new games and remakes in unity didn't seem likely to happen. I've seen so mant great game studios die to interference like this it was hard to keep my hopes up but I was proven wrong. Thank you to everyone on the team, congrats on learning a whole new game engine, and this looks so great. I hope you are all doing fantastic ❤❤❤

I just wonder at 0:25 if you look at the download bar, the game is near-ish finish (I could be wrong). This game need to approve by ESRB before launching to the public, also my last comment I didn't use 'will' because this game might not come out on this summer.

Developers can you bring back the last design, it was so lamp-like and cool, but this one looks usually like other games, I'm sad that Nancy Drew turns into an ordinary game, its charm and its features disappear, I understand you want to go further in the direction, but your last design was so good some games they never change their design, because of this they become recognizable and lamps

As somebody who’s played ND games for years after your performance of the last game I couldn’t care less. And getting rid of Nancy’s original voice while keeping everybody else just was ridiculous. The new mystery series that Lani is taking part of actually is trying to fashion there game around the true Nancy drew games. I’m so disappointed in this company now
