Lastly: the great gift of humanity is that we get to learn and grow and expand personally. We live in a very harsh time where if you start morally backing something you're called a bandwagon jumper, or worse, if you change your opinion on an issue: watch out!! I think it's great that you are making thought-out choices and I think it's even better that you have explained your decision here on a public medium where maybe even one person can go: "Oh, I never really thought of that." current favorite songs: "fight like a girl" by zolita, "when you run" by cold weather company, and "rainbow veins" by owl city! favorite new makeup product: uuuuhhhHHH it's not super new because i haven't bought something new or different in months lol but the essence single shadow in apricotta is my absolute favorite discovery for a cheap face highlight that looks gorgeous! questions: on the same lines as not using the maybelline age rewind due to the lack of diversity in the shade range, can you recommend more affordable and diverse concealer that wear well, don't crease, etc? urban decay is relatively in the "sephora pricing" category rather than drugstore/affordable indie brands and many consumers are working humans that would rather save money and grab something cheaper if it works well. you are my actual favorite makeup youtuber, kiki. i love your personality, your HAIR AHHHH, your transparency, how real you seem. I have the driest skin on the planet. I'm also 43 years old and live in Phoenix so I feel I have the background to talk about this in an educated way. The ren Vitamineral emollient cream is the best base I have found for my dry skin prior to makeup application. It has cranberry seed oil in it but it is not fragranced in anyway and it is just so soothing and comforting to the skin but there's no silicone or any bad ingredients. It is amazing.

And what kinds of things have you chose not to do at all, to keep a healthy focus on the things that actually ARE important? Maybelline age rewind is one of my favorite Drugstore concealers. The other is Wet n Wild photo focus. I also like Covergirl outlast concealer for light coverage under the eyes. But I understand the annoyance of color selection when these companies are HUGE and can totally offer more options.

Yes I have a lot of questions, as you can see from all my comments (sry for that 😊) that I talk/think a lot..but mine will be abt the blush placement, Wayne Goss, says that if you keep your blush higher up on your cheek it lifts..and you know you love lift, but when you do your blush it plumps your face...in a good way

Maybelline is adding shades to their Age Rewind line (according to their Twitter). I think they'll have about 8 shades total, which still isn't enough, but it's progress that they're adding at least some deeper tones. I think I remember seeing on Instagram that they're also adding shades to their Fit Me concealer, and have already added a bunch of new shades to the Fit Me foundation. So at least they're making some progress... albeit slowly.

Your series "How come no one told me that" is a favourite, what I come back to that once in a while. Suggestion to add to that series: Yeyliner. Is there a good way to teach about eyeliner for different kinds of eyes, and go into detail about the application? Especially hooded eyes, and other kind of "troublesome" eye shapes?

Stay with me here: I have a hard time with subtle, dainty winged eyeliner because my eyes are super big so the crease of my “skin flaps” extends past the outer corner of my eye. If I strictly follow my lower lash line up and out at the angle you suggest here with the red brown color, the line is interrupted when I open my eyes. If I try to make a solid line it gets really dramatic. If I go straight out instead, my slightly downturned eyes look MORE downturned. I use the Stila stay all day one and I have also used a small brush and Nyx gel liner. What kind of approach would you use if you had a client with big eyes who wanted dainty winged liner?

Question: What would you recommend for someone who cannot get eyeliner to stay in their waterline? I have tried so many different waterproof pencils, but my eyes eat them or something. Also, have you tried the Nikkia Joy Cosmetics lash range? Complexion lines really should be inclusive. They need to make it known in their marketing and have the product available. Even if a line does have your color, guessing online is a problem. My favorite newest makeup item is the Winter Bundle from Sydney Grace. Such pretty shadows. I was just thinking of videos I'd like see: Eyelash curlers for different eye shapes. Btw, I think you can save Instagram live videos.

About you using Maybelline concealer. “When you know better, you do better” (I think that also goes for when you realize something is “not so good”, you do better) I also stopped using the same concealer because they test on animals. There is no good reason to test on animals!

I don't know how I ever missed the theme song to Tokyo Drift but I just heard it for the first time recently and it gets me so fuckin turnt Also I've just started using a Loreal tubing mascara and it makes everything SO much easier at the end of the day when I take my makeup off. It's also fun because it's like pulling little spiders out of my eyes and watching them swim down the drain...is that weird? Anyway tubing mascara rocks for low maitenance people like me but maybe isn't so great for profesh MUA like you so I don't know how much you would enjoy it.
