I find I get better color correction if I apply color correction, blend it, then foundation, then touch up with a bit of concealer where needed. On bad days I can sometimes do extra color correction at the concealer step if it's needed.

Kiki I just discovered your channel and so far it's been a godsend, especially the Why Come series. I wanted to ask about powders (both loose and foundation) as almost every KZbinr paints them as a necessity in your makeup routine but I find that I end up getting oilier and cakier with them. Is it a matter of application or product or secret passed on through generations of magicians?

Thank you! Such a great video. I have never had luck setting my under eyes with powder. My skin is on the dry side. Powder dries it out so much, and ages me like crazy. When I don't use powder, it looks so much better.

Ok. Question for you (or Caspian, whichever makeup artist here wants to field questions) why do people color correct with yellow products under their eyes? Is it ever preferable to peach/red products or should they be used together? Thank you, btw, I’m learning so much from this series, I’m so glad I found you via Jenluvsreviews and subscribed!

Loved this video! I have pretty dark dark circles but it’s not entirely purple or blue. Right in the middle is a big patch of red. So I’ve had a lot of trouble even with color correcting. It usually ends up have a very grey cast over that area and that red patch is usually visible too.

I really love and appreciate your videos and the part of your personality that you choose to show us. All of the knowledge I got from watching your videos really helped me, especially your video about skincare, you recommended a product that has basically cured my acne (which in fact, was a total dickhead :D). So thank you so very much for all of that. Btw, I might pop by and steal Caspian for a day, he is SO CUTE. (Don't worry, i would bring him back :D) Could you please do an updated skincare routine as your last one basically saved my life and your skin is looking even more radiant these days? This is very helpful, thank you so so much for this very clear exploitation 👍🏼And your little boy is a handsome little, full of kisses and love for mommy❣He is going to break girls and or guy's heart's.. 😲❣💋❣He is cute❣😍 May I ask a question? What is the difference between blotting paper and blotting powder? Now Fenty Beauty came with a blotting powder, I wondered if this powder is only meant for that ppurpose or can it be used as an all-over the face setting powder?Because I truly get confused about this 3 options.. And it is purely a question about this powder from this brand. Also there are luminous powders, do one set's the foundation with that also if someone's looking for a setting powder? Or what is the difference between a luminous powder and a transparent setting powder?

It would have been much more helpful had you pointed out specifically where your dark circkles are, used the color corrected to neutralize the shade, then placed the undereye concealer. This way, you can see step by step the benefits of using eached collored product. This could also be a video you could do. Have undereye circles on different types of colored skin (fair, normal, medium deep, deep and dark) Each on requires selecting a different color that would neutralize the pink, blue, dark brown, etc. By demonstrating your techniiaue, you woule enormously help so many women!!!

What about concealing dark circles when you don't wear foundation? I was told your concealer had to be the colour of your skin for that, but I just feel it doesn't brighten at all.
@saral.84977 жыл бұрын
Mega Margaux Same! If I have time to do foundation I will. But 2 kids and early morning work...I'd rather catch some 😪. But yeah, if I do put something on its just concealer. I have used the Garnier Fructis rollerball thingy for a while. But not a lot of shade options and I feel like it's too dark for me now. I try to blend it out but feel like there's a noticeable difference from "even tone" to natural skin. Great question!!!
@tsaiyana7 жыл бұрын
So glad you mentioned this. I don't wear foundation either but I do wear concealer alone and I set it. I have extreme yellow under tones and I usually wear the light medium in most drug store products....wet and wild photo focus even Maybelline fit me....but those were never enough coverage. I saw some makeup gurus who I thought were my skin tone (I was horribly mistaken 😂) I tried the makeup revolution in C6.....it was WAAAAAY too light for me lol so I tried the C7 and C8 and online at Ulta it was a buy 2get one free so I also got C10 for the summer. I was surprised to see the jump in color from c6-c7 like you could probably fit 1-2 shades between those two. C7 is a dead on match for my skin but it has great coverage so it works well for me. I let the concealer sit like 15seconds and then blend out.so the makeup revolution brand may be a great alternative for us who need to conceal dark circles but don't wear foundation. I set the under eye with rcma powder mixed with banana powder to get a pale yellow to help brighten under the eye. Did I mention that the concealer is like $7 on ULTA?! Yes! So I bought 2 got one free and with shipping only spent like $22. Hope you get to try it out😊

I'm in my early 30s and struggle with concealer big time. I don't have ton of darkness to cover and thus, try to go light on product. If I don't set it, it ALWAYS creases in my wrinkles. If I do set it with a pressed powder, I don't get creasing but I look ten years older within an hour. Loose powder? Forget it. My skin is so dang dry and loose powders just seem to accentuate the wrinkles and dryness even more than pressed. And baking? HAH. That's a disaster on my skin. Maybe I'm just using the wrong concealers? Or perhaps I'm just getting older and need to quit whining about it?
