Oh goodness Kayli, now would be a good time for a fun distraction. Try a messy but easy activity like a puzzle, or let me tear up a magazine. A noisy toy. Sit him in a highchair or booster with dry snacks. Have a room full of balls. Maybe a baking sheet with a bunch of magnets, ones he can't swallow of course. His car thing that he sits in. Put Bronx with him to occupy him. My phone has a child lock menu for kid apps. You could download toddler games and let him do that. My daughter loved this one where any letter she hit, it would say it along with an animal sound. Or, it would ask to find the Apple etc.

It seems like it would be SO much easier on you to just let him play or put on a movie and give him a snack instead of him being right on you lap or right next to you. Just my thoughts.... I know you're OBSESSED with Winston, but it won't hurt you or him to let him be free!

Unfortunately that's what most parents do nowadays and when their child is grown and gone they're wishing they had more time to spend with them. Winston will only be this little for a short time and they are creating memories that kayli will be able to look back on when he's older. I love that kabuki doesn't just stick him in front of a tv. A young child like Winston needs also to learn that there are moments that they need to play alone... otherwise when he grows older he'll never be able to say goodbye and will cry when he leaves his mom because he needs to go to school or something. This is a general mistake parents make. It's good to give your child all the love you have, but you need te learn them to be independent. And that's very hard to do.. I know... but you need to find a way..

+Brittany Thacker I'm sure most moms know that SOUNDS easier, until they are following you to the restroom or where ever you get ready. My son can go either way. It's not so simple as giving him a toy. He could care less about a little toy. He likes books, balls, and this push toy he has but a little doll or stuffed animal or whatever he could care less. Normally what I do is fill the bath with about an inch of water and let him play in it. Keeps him entertained, but sometimes he just wants to hangout with mom. & a snack doesn't work, because he'll just take it and follow me or he'll eat it too quick haha

My son was the same way and he doesn't like tv or playing off by himself. That's why God gave them parents. Us playing with them won't harm them developmentally. Also, from the looks of it he was climbing on her and not very much interested in playing alone.
