I myself suffer from depression and have been so down the pass month. This might sound silly to some but I have started talking to JESUS and calling on him so much. Taking walks alone, super long showers and journaling have helped me some. Hugs 💜

When this quarantine started I was extremely depressed for almost a week of crying, crying. I deal with panic attacks maybe twice a year and with this whole covid19 I was experiencing them back to back. I have leaned heavily on my faith to get me through these uncertain times. We, mamas deal with the world on our shoulders daily. If everyone is safe in their beds at night, you did enough for the day. Don’t beat yourself up. Do you take any medication for your depression? Also, checking on your hormone levels would be a start to make sure you are not lacking any. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Love your little family!

Alyssia, I know it was meant for me to see your comment. If everyone is safe in bed at night, you’ve done enough. Also, it’s been on my mind to ask my doctor about testing my hormone levels because I think there may be a correlation with panic attacks. This was a nudge to follow through! Hope you are managing better ❤️

I can relate soo much! I work full time as a remote employee for a healthcare insurance. My husband works outside the house. We have 2 6th graders, 1 7th grader and a 3rd grader and I’m expected to work during the day, feed them, help with their schoolwork questions, motivate them to get on task, communicate with teachers, pay bills cook dinner and maintain the house. It’s soo stressful and he absolutely thinks it’s easy because I work from “home”. Plus I have no support from any family because his mother is jealous that he married me and his 2 kids love me PLUS all my family lives 7 hours away💆🏾♀️

Don't you just hate crappy in laws?! Im no sugar cookie myself, but I never knew who would come outta the bushes after my marriage. People really need to step back and focus on their own lives, it's like people who you never even met wanna evaluate how your marriage is or how you do things. Keep your head up, don't let his mother in law (or anyone for that matter) make your heart cold. Bitterness is contagious. Pray and keep doing you. Leave the kids with hubby sometimes, it's a rough reminder that momming has never been easy. Plus you definitely deserve some time away.
@missme98024 жыл бұрын
Xotesha I feel for you, that seems like a lot! Best wishes for you because no one deserves mistreatment from in-laws when you are a good spouse and mother. You deserve help, love and support. Especially when the children suffer from such nonsense from in-laws!

You're a wonderful mother! Pease, if possible, take a day once a week just for you and self care. See a therapist if you can get someone to watch your girls. Unfortunately, most men lack empathy for women's issues but that doesn't mean you should sit and stew in silence. Keep talking, keep sharing. It lessens the burden on yourself and there's a community of women that can relate🧡🧡🧡. Have a wonderful mother's day!

I'm a mother of 3 girls as well, so I know how hard it can be. Taking care of kids and home and feeling almost invisible to the one that should understand you the most. I'm sure it's not intentional but sometimes to ignore it make it's easier to deal with when there's not much you can do to fix it. It's apparent you have a loving husband and provider but it may be hard for him to understand because there's not much he can do to fix it. Keep doing what you do, it doesn't have to be perfect. You're doing an awesome job!

You have a community of likeminds who share your journey, and we thank you for opening up to us. You heal yourself and others when you are vulnerable. Happy mother's day!
@momof3littles4 жыл бұрын
Let me add: your husband's inability to sympathize with your situation is not normal. It is normalized because we have gender roles that we uphold as a society. However, you are his wife, and if you are communicating with him the very tough time you are having, he should be uplifting you and supporting you the best he can (in addition to financial support). My prayer is that you will be able to attend therapy together- this can be done while he is traveling, especially with all of the remote services during this pandemic.

If i've learned something since becoming a mom is that mental health and self care is sooooo IMPORTANT! Wether you chose or not to be a stay-at-home mom, it still challenging, especially when you are solo cause you gotta be all in one and you have the RIGHT to be overwhelmed, you have the RIGHT to want some time for yourself. It's human and before being a spouse and a mom, your are a woman. People don't understand that. Think about putting the young ones in day care 1 or 2 times a week, just to have some day where you are less stressed. If you have family, take a day just for YOURSELF from time to time. Talking to a therapist also helps a lot because you don't feel judged and you can talk freely. Keep talking about your feelings to your husband. One day i was tired of talking to mine and i told him to do it all just for a day, result he was EXHAUSTED, didn't eat until 7 pm, didnt take a shower lol, but more important he finally understood my frustrations and was way more understanding. You don't have to be perfect, you have to be you and right in your mind, that's the most important things. If you want to feel better, take actions little step by little step, tha's really important. You are doing a wonderful job with your girls, it's okay if you think about yourself only sometimes. I will pray for you, everything is gonna be sis 😘😘😘. Stay blessed!

I understand what you are going through. Depression is hard but when you feel like you’re not supported it’s harder. As mothers we nurture and care for everyone else, our children, our spouses, etc.... but who supports us? I have raised three young men and I am divorced now. You guys have a conversation and tell him how you feel. The biggest mistake you can make is holding back how you feel because it leaves room for more resentment. Good morning. I know it's not easy dealing with children on your own especially now. Nothing beats prayer. You have been doing a good job hang in there. Everything will work out.

It’s okay! I’m dealing with the same thing. I know exactly what you mean. I have thick hair and wake up with crazy bed head and one clamp through my hair with the ghd straightener gets it pin needle straight! I have the one that you can curl and straighten like 2 in 1

You are not alone mum , in anything you are dealing with , from kid stress , personal stress to relationship stress to even this covid. We are enough we do enough. My husband is the same as far as not understanding the support woman need emotionally , I believe its due to him being African and the way he grew up they are taught to support their family with everything but wasn't taught the importance of the emotional side. and yes we talked about it and that was our conclusion.

Good to see you all! Praying for you, it can get overwhelming with esp with three toddlers. There are some online counseling available resources available so you can at least seek help while we’re social distancing. You are amazing. And you carry yourself so well, even with the highs and lows of your day. God’s got you! 🙏🏾💕

Praying for you and your family. You do a lot. And it sounds like you need a much deserved break. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
