When Manny brought up not being Mexican enough because he doesn't speak Spanish I felt that in a personal way but about my skin color. Someone close to me really tried to make me feel less of a Latina because of my fair skin color because almost everyone in my family are medium to tan to brown color. But their point of view did corrupt how I see myself, Im still very grateful and comfortable in/with my skin color and it doesn't make me less of a Latina.
