Some tips are to NOT do this if you have pets! If your cat smells it, they will have trouble breathing and over time can have a ton of health issues with their kidneys and lungs, same thing goes for dogs and other furry critters like that, such as ferrets, mice, and other rodents

And humans. Essential oils are super concentrated and really shouldn't be used like this.
@ellejaye228 ай бұрын
I know this sounds weird, but it works! Sprinkle dry grits where you see the ants. I had a neighbor under me, and they were coming in through the window sill. I tried the gel ant bait, spray, other techniques, and nothing worked. Why does it work? The ants eat the dry gits and since they can't digest them, they perish. Sounds harsh, but it's successful and safe for curious pets/kids!

@FlyBoiQ1 well, it's Amazon-so it probably made it by now🫠 try the grits first and send the Amazon order back if it works😉

I thought I would chime in . I'm here in super 🔥 Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 ants are back , I will do would I learned 10 yrs ago , 1 small dipping bowl 2 part Honey , 1 part apple cider vinegar,1 part borax mix together form paste ,cover with saran wrap ,poke holes in ,the ants will climb in take a bit to bring back to Queen. Destroys nest. 😊

These oils are ok as a deterrent but doesn't actually kill them off. They'll find another path. Real nuisance. I'm really worried because I keep getting this problem. Can't find the nest or place where they're coming in from.

Try Terro ants bait in summer. I’m dealing with them right now. I think I have successfully kill one colony now. Heading for the next.
@troyelder563 ай бұрын
Terro or other brand ant baits most work the same way. It’s sugary water and attractants with small amount of borax ants WILL swarm the bait that means it’s working then they take the bait poison back to the colony themselves and feed it to the queen which in a few days will die and then the colony collapses!

Peppermint works only for couple days if at all. Sometimes they just change their path enough to make it around the oil. I tried this rack for many years because I didn't want to use anything harmful but it was a constant battle every couple days

Unfortunately I thought I killed the ants with the peppermint oil but the next day they were back!!!! These are a different kind of ant species 🙁
@robyntaurusbeatz703 Жыл бұрын
Yeah honestly if you spray pure white distilled vinegar alone along your baseboards and windowsills it will not only repel the ants from coming in , but it will also keep spiders and other insects away as well. This peppermint oil is not even necessary. 🫰🫰😎

Peppermint oil helped open my little chihuahuas collapse trachea open so he could breathe. 1-2 drops on a paper towel & wave it in front of the dogs nose, works wonders.

I’ve been on ant patrol for 3 days now. Every time I mess up one lane they make another. Too many ant stories to comment . Smh and all because my dad tried yes tried to make some tea and boyyyyyy we went to another city and came back to ants almost taking over. My sleep pattern is messed up and my eyes oh goodness that’s another story. 😅 definitely gotta give my therapist an update. Imma try the peppermint trick for the next lane.

@angellycan it's probably due your eating in bed dropping crumbs. Stop eating in bed to see if that solves your ant problem. I know by experience, lol

Hey can you please help me? IM BEGGING YOU MAM. randomly one day I came home from softball and I looked in my room and I saw ants crawling. Not a bunch but enough for me to be a little concerned. I freaked out because there was no food in my room and my room is pretty clean. (Sanitary wise) I’m thinking that it’s coming through my window. I didn’t have this problem u til my friend opens my window and tried to close it back. Idk if it didn’t close or something right but there are ants everywhere please help!

I'm facing the same problem. Opened windows in my house and now ants are crawling all over the place. Tried experimenting with loads of ant repellants but only seems to be a temporary fix. It kills the ants that are already in only to find new ones entering another spot at my house. It's been 3 weeks and this already feels like a plague. So weird...
@ThatEmoGirl Жыл бұрын
@@pearly1511 Im in ohio and it really does feel like a plague. I keep my house spotless and they just keep finding new ways in no matter what I do and Ive used all the expensive bug killer, bait traps etc in the market. Nothing is working.
