I cant believe i met and saw them live yesterday!!! Best day of my life. I cried after i met them, and when their set ended. I screamed every lyric to every song on the top of my lungs and coughed up blood as i was walking away from the stage. I probably wont be able to talk for the rest of the week but i dont care. I had the best time of my life yesterday and i still have to ask my mom if that really happened. It was amazing being able to actually hug them. I plan on seeing them live again soon!

Him and Lexus got a divorce. The reason why a lot of fans think it was Lexus who got him to quit GS is because she "Got in a fight", she actually fired her, with the other member of her band and said she needed him otherwise her band would be ruined and, Nick being a dependent person he couldn't say no and risk losing her, so that's why he quit. Nick wasn't really happy with her so I don't know why he didn't want her gone, just look at teh Bryan Stars interview with Lexus and Nick, Nick seems a little off and when it was first posted I though maybe he just didn't feel well. They got into a huge fight and he left and asked to rejoin GS (Him and the other four hadn't talk since him and Lexus got married). And Lexus started with the indirect tweets that were obviously about him and she said all these hateful things, and so did her fans, but about a week later she wanted him back and he turned her down and that's supposedly when they completely stopped talking to each other. Sorry it's long I made it as short as possible...

This song graced my Spotify at just the perfect time. Honestly, I have never found a sound that so perfect describes my feelings and a situation while it’s happening than this one. The guy that so badly broke me is a functional alcoholic who has made great progress toward staying sober, but relapses about once every 2 months. I’ve been his one support system that he has talked to about everything and has helped him keep the bottle down. But this time, the urge was too strong, and he chose the bottle over seeing me (literally a half hour before we had plans). I told him what he said to say when he expresses his desire to drink, I begged him to let me see him to talk about what triggered him. It didn’t matter. He ignored my texts and calls, ignored me expressing how heartbroken I felt, the bottle won and his true colors were shown. Now as I think when I’m not so emotionally overwhelmed, I realize the cycle. He fucks up, waits for me to text him because he’s too embarrassed to apologize, I take part of the blame and try harder. I never ask for an apology and I never get one. I sweep it under the rug so he still feels like someone is on his side, not allowing him to feel the consequences for his actions. This song speaks to exactly how I feel. Broken, overwhelmed, embarrassed for taking the blame….but also seeing the sun. It’s not my fault, it’s not my responsibility to save him, he fucking hurt me even if the reason he drank wasn’t about me. I’m seeing that he doesn’t deserve my kindness and support, and I need to put myself first even if the pain is strong. Thank you Get Scared for creating a song I can listen to 300 times on repeat while crying and telling myself fuck him I deserve better 💙. If you read all of this, god bless your soul 😂. This literally happened yesterday so I’m feeling the feels and coping by sharing my life story in a KZbin comment, don’t judge 😂😂

Going out on a limb with what I think the video is about. Duality of the human condition. When you first listen to the song, you think its about someone you love destroying you, you become "badly broken". However, sometimes the person you need to love you the most and can't, is yourself. This goes two ways as well. Maybe you don't want a side of yourself to love who you are, because that side is destroying you. Depression does that to many of its victims. And depression itself is often linked to past experiences. The man watching the TV sees a child before he splits in half and becomes broken. Maybe he lost a son at some point, or failed to save them. This destroyed him, and while his general expression doesn't change when the split happens, he still splits. Because depression is silent. You can't always tell when someone is depressed, because they don't make it obvious. They seem normal, but they are being eaten inside. It becomes them, and devours them, slowly. It is the side that you start holding close as everything starts to slip away, And when you finally fight it, even if it is temporary, one of the last things you openly will think about it is that "You will never get to love me again", because you don't want to ever embrace that darkness with open arms the way you once did.
