This is BRILLIANT. Hard to believe it is that time of the year again. Your house always looks SOooo Great. This is way for decorating in the future. About to give it a spin for this year and see what happens. Still hot outside here this time of the year. Tonight about 10pm here it has finally "cooled down" to about 91F or about 32.8C. Next Saturday that is about what the expected high will be during the day so the evening should be lot nicer. Will give it a go then. Thanks for posting this video.

I hope at least your evenings are dry. My biggest enemy is the rain whenever I get my projector outside 🌧️ 😖

@@LumaBox Dry and hot for the most part here. The mosquitos and other flying critters tend to be a real nuisance. Things got delayed and I am finally about to get an enclosure. Will update you when things progress.

This is fantastic! I have wanted to do this for years, but the time investment / learning curve was just too high. This looks much more approachable. My projector is on the way and when it arrives, I will give this a go. Thanks for the amazing tutorial!

First, I would like to thank you for all your tutorials, they have been very helpful. I do have on question. I am unable to export video, I do understand that I can't export video while the image is on canvas. How would I otherwise export videos after creating my pinning
@LumaBox17 күн бұрын
Hi Peter, I think we have been chatting over email. For the benefit of anyone reading this, it relates to LumaMap version 1. Just to be clear, in terms of the limitations of exporting video, you can't export video when an image is loaded to the canvas, only when a video is loaded to the canvas. And you also cannot export video if there is any painting or art tools used on the video

In my area Halloween and Christmas is in day light saving meaning my projection mapping will be in board daylight. Do you have any cheap projector picks for this?
@LumaBox13 күн бұрын
Projection can't be done effectively outdoors in broad daylight unfortunately. You'll have to run your show during night hours or enclose an area to exclude light and have a show in there. Daylight will create too much competition

Thank you so much for the video! We are really looking forward to more! Show us some dynamic visuals! I’ve just started learning Resolume, could you explain the main differences between LumaMap and Resolume?
@LumaBox17 күн бұрын
LumaMap and Resolume are very different. For one, Resolume is used by professional VJs to display interactive media for live events. It's very powerful. LumaMap is a small tool with a specific aim: to help first-time projection mappers make their first projected facades as quickly and easily as possible. It really depends what stage in the journey you are at and the level of your ambition. Resolume is tough to learn but will take you far. LumaMap will get you started fast. It depends on the user. Hope that helps

This looks great, may I ask if this is using any Adobe technology? I no longer wish to be subject to their terms of service.

No, nothing to do with adobe 👍

Following this process and using an image as a base rather than outlines what would differ in the gimp masking process video?
@LumaBox17 күн бұрын
One step which would be different is, right at the beginning, when I invert the Outlines and use the Screen blend mode to show the white outlines over the top of my facade. This won't work well if you have a photo guide, so for that I would suggest simply turning the opacity down (I show how to do that with the slider in the Layers panel) so you can see the facade underneath your photo. The rest of the workflow would be the same 👍

Hi guys, thanks for this amazing video tutorial. I have a question: how I can delete an image or video on canvas? I tried to delete a video but also short cuts doesn't work. Someone could help me? Thanks ❤
@LumaBox17 күн бұрын
Hi - you actually can't go back to having a completely empty canvas after you've imported some media other than by relaunching the software. You can only replace it with something else. But what you can do is turn off Send to Display so nothing will be sent to your projector, which is practically the same as having nothing in your canvas. Could you let me know why you want to go back to having an empty canvas? If there is a strong use-case for this, it's something I could look into making possible in the software

Can I choose several displays at the same time for design and mapping? That is, display output.
@LumaBox17 күн бұрын
Hi - no, it is just one output at a time in the software

can this software do Multi projectors??? to cover my whole house? One will not be enough...i need atelast 3
@LumaBox5 күн бұрын
Hi, this software doesn't support multiple outputs at once but if you really wanted to, you could do each projector one at a time (each handling their own surfaces) and keep the generation seed the same so the generations are as consistent looks-wise as possible

I would like to project bugs crawling on an object in the missing bricks of a faux brick wall. 5’ away. I’d like it to be stored on a SD card so as not to be tethered to a computer.
