Amazing Videos!! 😍 do you know if there is a possibility to fire it in the Sirona Speedfire? Thanks for your help! ☺️

@@yannicktaylor9035 call Jensen. The Speedfire is great for Katana and Tessera, but not a practical firing chamber for mastering ceramics. One can purchase a used Programat CS or CS2 online for about $1,200, and these furnaces last for years. I do know that Ivoclar has a year end sale of the CS6 for around $7,500. All the best!

Hello! I have porcelain crowns with zircona inserts in them and I recently did dental cleaning with ultrasound and later they did polishing with abrasive paste. Afterwards I noticed a significant thinning of my crowns, I think the glaze is taken off after this cleaning. Is there possibility to put a glaze back on these crowns without taking them off?

I would advise you to express your concern to your dental care provider. This channel is for education for dental professionals.

@@KlimDDSI did talk to my dentist but he says it is impossible to remove a glaze from a crown with polishing. That’s why I would like to ask you, someone who actually do these prosthetics. Dentist doesn’t do them so he doesn’t know how these prosthetics behave. You for sure know if glaze is polishing resistant or no.

@@IrenaK-kh4mj I agree with your dentist. The glaze is glass. Over time, just like enamel, it can wear. But this will take years of wear and tear. If your restorations are wearing, it may be time to upgrade them. All the best.

Hi one question I guess is a question, what's with a lot of people starting and glazing blue blocks? Whats the rush? Maybe on a molar is ok if you know the color consistency of your blocks and want to push production, but if your main concern is esthetics just crystallize them first and then stain and glaze.

Good question. Two things to remember. It is efficient with seasoned skill and experience. The other thing that is more impactful to consider is that with multiple glaze furnace fires, following e.max crystallization, the ceramic will become more translucent. This can be made to work when understanding; however, it can cause the shade of the ceramic to become lower value than intended for the case when using HT and MT options. Low translucent (LT) e.max is more forgiving with multiple follow-up firings. The thinner the ceramic, the more these translucent effects will impact the outcome, for instance, on a 400-um thin veneer. For a thin veneer, I want one fire via crystallization, this is when a pre-crystallization color (incisal effects) becomes imperative.

@@KlimDDSmultiple firing cycles impact the translucent value of emax crowns? Do you know why that is?
@KlimDDS
@KlimDDS Ай бұрын
@@talktotifaI have been informed by a ceramic researcher it is the pigments in the ceramic. Anyway, if one understands the process, you can make it work your you!
