With the exception of the leafblower, these are the same items the contestants used in the series 8 task 'Draw a picture of a former contestant with sand'. I don't think I've ever felt dumber watching this show than the moment I saw the barbecue blower and thought that was the solution since it was the best tool in the sand task.

Curious as to whether the horn would have been more effective if you blow into the large end. In theory, assuming you could get a good seal on it with your face, the same amount of air would be coming out of a smaller area, which would mean greater pressure.

Blowing through a horn like that is, however, duper inefficient. The air you put into it has to displace all the air inside the horn already, causing a great loss of pressure

Putting the flag up the trouser leg at the beginning spoilt this one for me - gags like that only work if they genuinely miss it, not if the crew are hiding it.

Yeah I kind of agree, it wasn’t too different from when the keys were in his hand all along in the team puzzle task in series 3, but unless someone wrestled him off the hole or something it was pretty much impossible for the contestants to complete the task without missing it the first time

Ehh… I totally get what you’re saying but I’m totally fine with it as long as the flag was revealed after the exact same amount of time for each contestant or, at least when each of them realized that the more obvious “hole” wasn’t real. Just as long as it was kept even and fair for each contestant.
