I use Life all the time to get intersting perc / top loops. It's been such a big help. I hate doing perc stuff, because i'm really bad at it doing it by hand. This really, really helps me. Thanks for your tutorial :) I'll need to try the melodic stuff too.

Cause now everyone can make cool grooves, as you said you basically made a fourtet tune in no time, but what comes after all this... The sort of auto-categorization of slices really helps with making the randomly generated loops make sense, however I’m currently trying to expand on this idea with some ableton devices 😁

If you like Life, you should check out Orbit by ADSR. Its a MIDI sequencer like Life and you can even do some shenanigans with randomness. I think it would be right up your alley!
