A few days ago, I “added” a record with it’s information to my tree. At that moment, it seemed reasonable. I now have reasonable doubts. How can I reverse the process? I would like this information out of my tree and into the shoebox? Thanks for your KZbin channel!

Reasonable doubt... been there many times. Go to the record page (like I showed you where you can add the image to the shoebox in the video.). Then you'll see a sentence that reads something like "Saved to: Smith, Bob in tree "Smith Family Tree."" At the end of the line you'll see the word "REMOVE." Click on that and the source will be removed form your tree. Don't leave the record page yet. To record to your shoebox, click on the green button that says "SAVE" and then choose the option to save to shoebox. You're all set.

Ancestry has taken that away, but not for every researcher. It's frustrating. The other 4 tips work well.

When you sign on to Ancestry, it should be right there. Or you can click "HOME" in the top menu bar. It's black I think.

I talked to Ancestry and it turns out that only some people with long time memberships have this. Who knew? I like the feature and am not sure why Ancestry wouldn't keep it.

It should be there when you click on the word HOME or Ancestry in the upper left corner on the desktop. What platform and browser are you using? What subscription status do you have/

Unless they've changed something recently, if you have done your DNA with them, the homepage is locked into a standard layout and can't be customized. I had customized mine before doing the DNA test and all my customization was lost after the test; when I asked about it, this was what I was told (that was a few years ago, tho).

It should be in right column of content on your home page. Contact Ancestry Customer Support if it's not. There are a lot of reasons it's not there (subscription status, different views for different parts of the world.). Let me know what they say.
