One thing about the Gas Recycling Overclock is that the amount of damage added is basically DOUBLE the base weakpoint damage bonus(15% per bullet). So unless you are taking hollow point rounds, you are not actually losing out on any damage when you lose the weakpoint damage stat. This overclock paired with blowthrough rounds just SHREDS grouped enemies. You will run tight on ammo if you aren't capitalizing on blowthrough a lot. But you will pull numbers you'd NEVER expect from a scout. Especially if you pair it with AI stability engine on GK2, because it excels at everything your Zhukov wont, while also being flexible enough to be used in place of the Zhukovs when they are low on ammo. This is my build for the Zhukovs. Blowthrough with gas recycling lets you maul groups of grunts and hit the threshold to one-shot swarmers too, extremely ammo efficient, still good dps versus other targets and even better versus praetorians who have no weakpoint additional damage anyway, pair that with the electrical damage bonus and IFG's and suddenly, this eats the bugs alive.

This is kind of true but not entirely. While the base weakpoint damage on the zhukovs like you mentioned is made up for by the +6 damage the OC provides, the fact that you aren't allowed to hit weakpoints on bugs whatsoever means that for a lot of large-target or mactera applications for example will make it a lot weaker in those contexts. However, like you said you can also take something like AISE GK2 for applications like that, so all in all it does balance out quite well.

Additional note: the Zhukov's also operate kind of like the minigun in that they use two ammo per shot. So like if you shoot for a frame, 2 ammo is spent but only the damage of one bullet applies. This also applies to embedded detonators. You would think that 30-40 dets are in a clip, but instead it's really 15-20 per clip.

I love Gas Recycling + Supercooling Chamber combo, because your secondary weapon becomes primary. And whenever you see big annoying enemy, you take your M1000 and annihilate it in 2 focused shots. Really satisfying combo, but I doubt it would work well in any Deep Dives or Haz 5 missions due to negative ammo efficiency

I love custom casings because the reduced rate of fire actually makes the recoil controllable, so it feels more like a clean overclock than a balanced overclock

my favorite combo is shield battery drak and gas recycling zhukov with fast reload and get in get out. you take fast shield regen and +5 to shields, then you basically just abuse your passive supergood shields to be a frontline ungabunga skirmisher with zhukovs.

i often take shell casings with supercooling chamber, since the super cooling m1k is a way more ammo efficient trifork volley. the zhukovs make for great horde control.

Man I wish I had a single Overclock for my M1, I'm jealous. I don't really have that much trouble with my standard M1 when it comes to ammo, I'm usually the last member of a team that needs to restock. From what I understand, Hipster is the best M1 Overclock and it gives you even more ammo to work with so if you're running out of ammo you may need to shift your playstyle and not spam fire too often. I find the piercing shots (mod 4-1) on the M1 to be invaluable; they're both strong and efficient, but you'll want to get into the habit of lining up shots into a crowd. One of the biggest mistakes you can make with the M1 imo is wasting it on smaller enemies, that's when you should bust out a secondary. Shotgun works but I've had the most success with the Zhukovs here so it's convenient you're on the right video for tips on that. Zhukovs compliment the M1 really nicely and they are capable of holding a lot of ammo, which allows you to save your M1's ammo for big swarms. Hope this helped! ROCK AND STONE

If you aren't running super blowthrough on it you should, usually gives you a lot of value. Additionally you could use something that can help clump them up to get blowthrough value, like pheromone nades/bolts or ifg, or just good ol scout enemy kiting.

I do better with the drak. I preform better with impact deflection and OPA. But it might be a controller/skill issue I can’t head shot grunts with hipster to save my life.

it's all the same, and maybe some overlocks will be removed by the developers, or maybe they will be replaced in season 4. And so all overlocks are playable

What are you talking about even ? He's not ranking them, and "maybe in the future they won't exist" doesn't mean an overclock isn't good or bad rn ?

No OCs are going to be removed or replaced. Period. There is always someone using these OCs, even Double Barrel (that does need a bit of tweaking imo). Removing or replacing an OC will hurt a LOT of people, even more than it will help. Also he isn’t ranking them, this is just a baseline for what builds that go well with the overclocks, not some set in stone “meta build”.
