And at the risk of having all the Chev guys mad at me, you are making these gaps way better than they came from the factory. I'm 64 and was there when these were new. The gaps were not good off the dealer lot so you're showing high quality build techniques and the correct way to do it. Nice work!

I am glad you've joined up with Derek on a couple projects. VGG is one of my favorite KZbin channels, but it's nice seeing work done correctly instead of "good enough". No disrespect to Derek because that's the theme of his channel... no need to spend thousands to get an old vehicle back on the road and do it yourself with tools you have. But it is nice watching the opposite end of that spectrum. In fact I'm more comfortable watching your channel because it's do it once, do it right. I hope Derek will let you get your hands on his Pantera. The two of you compliment each other. It'd be cool to see him do a rescue/revival and drop it off at your shop to do a restoration to document it from start to finish.

I've been watching you for years. You are the master at teaching and showing all the small detail stuff. I finished my first 70 Camaro about a year ago. Replaced every piece of sheet metal on that one. The tail panel was th biggest PIA to get right but the car turn out awesome. I am working on my other 70 Camaro now. It appeared to only need quarters and cowl panel but it didn't take long to figure out that it needed a lot more. Ended up needing the speaker tray, lower rear filler panel and a lot more. And again, that tail panel required a lot of work but was much easier the second time around. I can't stress how important it is to measure everything you can and take a ton of pics before jumping into a job like this. I also used all AMD. Keep the videos coming sir!.

Great videos from Kevin that don’t sugar coat the hard work with sheet metal. I’ve learned so much that I’m applying to my 67 Chevelle resto. History that I just learned recently. The reason the 70 Camaro production was delayed by months was the difficulty in stamping the curved die panels. 69 Camaro production was extended (helps us find projects today !) requiring huge “jumping through hoops” to keep supply of parts coming. Maybe some viewers worked at Norwood plant or others that can add to this with their knowledge. Hope Santa will bring Kevin a decent air compressor for his TV shop ! Thanks for all you do for our hobby !

good stuff. I wish KZbin was around when I bought my first vehicle. A 1950 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. I drove it to school , work and back home. I didn't have the knowledge to restore it at the time, 1984. It did not fail me and I eventually sold it. I do miss it though . I was lucky enough to be able to walk from high school to a job at a car dealership where I was hired to paint the awning then sweep floors. I befriended the shop guys and the body shop guys. They all were great at answering questions. A guy in the shop gave me access to his tools and I could use the lift after hours. The body shop guys let me do some work. I ruined a customers aluminum wheels he wanted re-finished. I sanded the crisp edges of the alum off. I learned some lessons.

Great work as always. I actually enjoy hammer and dolly work, shaping metal, etc. Thank you for taking the time to show us all some new methods of handling panel figment and shaping. See you Tuesday? Just in case, have a great week ~ Chuck
