I've always liked EBS stuff but it's not so easy to get your hands on here in the US anymore. The little practice amp sounds good. One of my big concerns with practice amps is always not just that it makes some sound, but does it sound good enough to make you want to practice. If it doesn't, then what good is it really?

I have the older version… love it, it sounds exactly the way I need it to for JBasses. I’ve recorded with it, with great results. I guess the Bluetooth would be good for getting rid of your cable, but for a practice amp, it just seems a little ‘gimmicky’.

I wonder what makes Kai go with sitting with a bass in different ways. In this video he sat with the Stingray and the fretless P bass in the "classical" position, but with the other basses he sat with the "standard" position. I'm mostly asking because even though I've been playing bass for more than a decade, I'm still not always 100% comfortable in any sitting position I try!

In this case my position was due to the complicated intro I’d arranged. Also I typically use a strap even when sitting, so my hands are free to use writing songs down or using an mp3 or recording on logic. I feel more comfortable using a strap, but at bass the world picking Gregors basses is often spontaneous, so it’s best not using straps.

@@klemke7043 That's interesting, thanks for sharing! Maybe I should try and use a strap more often as well. Though even in your channel's videos when you use a strap I see you're sitting in different positions from video to video. I guess it just depends on the mood haha :)

Indeed ;) different positions make for different playing, too. Sometimes I put the neck all the way up to make it feel and sound like a double bass

Is there a small amp that goes down to 30hz and sounds good?

No Hoffman's iron law states that you can have a speaker that's little or low, but not both. You don't actually need a cab that goes down to 30 Hz though. Very few bass cabs reach that low. 30Hz is a job for a dedicated subwoofer. The second harmonic is much more important for bass

You don't need 30hz flat to get great sounding low B string. 60hz is enough. 70 can be not enough but I hear here that it's ok.

Positive grid Spark says they are 20-20k. I have used with five string bass. Not sure about the 40 watts, but it does work at modest volume.

Personally I'd prefer any practice bass amp to have built in reverb. It just adds girth and sheen to low playing levels

Und wieder ballert das Video nach zuvor viel zu lauten Werbung ohne minimalstes Miniintro oder zwei, drei Sekunden zum Luftholen rein, so dass man wieder zurückspulen muss, nachdem man die Lautstärke reguliert hat und die Untertitel ausschalten konnte, die aber auch nur bei dem Kanal seltsamerweise direkt mitlaufen. Schade dass du die Viewerfreundliche Anregung meinerseits noch nicht umgesetzt hast. Vielleicht kommt das noch, ich gebe die Hoffnung nicht auf.
