HI Staurt, installed app fine for my team, but when I add it to another team, they get all the some pinned users on their view. Do I need to install the app again for the second team ?

Hi Stuart, the app promises to be great. But after installation/import/publishing and creating the tab/link within the relevant team there occurs an error, everytime trying to open it "problems while reaching the app". Who could help?

Hi Stuart, great app. I wanted to know whether we can change the icons of Home, Office etc to personalize them? Can you also let us know what the Clear function is while setting up the status? Thanks !

Apologies. I completely missed this question. App icons are stored in the database so they can be customised in there by adding different SVG icon code. The Clear function erases the status. e.g. I did say I was working from Home but now I want it to say nothing.

Can I use this app in different teams/Departments, where i am member. Seems that I can use only one for the whole company.

If you have installed multiple instances of the app you’ll have to update your presence separately in each. The best way is to have one for the company so you just update in one place.

Hi Stuart, i understand this is a free app but 'Microsoft Dataverse' is a premium connector. Therefore, do we require either a Power Apps 'Per App Plan' or 'Per User Plan' for valid licensing? Only 'standard connecters' are allowed without a dedicated Power App subscription/PAYG Plan. TIA,

Not when you install it into Power Apps in Teams. Dataverse for Teams is included as part of your Office 365 licensing.

Hi Stuart, you touched on one point near the end of the video that was crossing my mind already about deciding where to have the app, i.e. department or project teams or entire organisation so people don’t have to go to multiple Teams setting their status. Is there no way at all to get the data from another source - a SharePoint list perhaps - so it can update all instances?

Hi Paul. This article tells you how you can share the app with a wider group. You can install the app in multiple teams but just have the same data. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/teams/set-perms-and-share

Possibly a noob question but we installed an earlier version but i dont see how you update the app to use the latest update ? Is there a process for this that im missing ?

If you download the updated version you can install it in the same way in the same team. It will update the app but leave the data intact.

Hi Stuart, nice work! I have tested the app and have som questions for you. I only see "Home", "Work", "Dont work" and Question mark icons when I should choose status? I see that there are more icons, tex "Holiday" etc. How could I manage to make them visible to the users? :) And one more question, will it be possible to search up employees that are not in "My team" to see status about them? Hi there Alv. It appears there is an old asset still in the Power App from the previous way we used to do the icons. We now render these using SVG rather than embeded media. When we first started using the app within Microsoft the options were Home, Office (select office), Vacation and Clear (to remove the status). Our initial user testing showed that the Vacation option was insufficient as people had a number of options for why they were on leave e.g. Vacation/Holiday, Compassionate Leave, Family Leave, Parental Leave, Planned Medical Leave etc. As this is outside of our holiday/leave systems (which handle those granular requests) we decided internally that fewer statuses were easier. You were either working at home, working on another site or not working. This would help with privacy concerns etc if people shared too much information about why they were not working.

Hi. You could either go into the editor and open the screen again in Preview mode to add sites. Alternatively you can just add the sites into the Sites table directly in the Teams Power App app where you imported it.

@@ProductivityCoach Follow up question, Im fairly green when it comes to Power Apps and Power Automate, is there a way to change the time for the weekly update card to be sent to people? It currently comes through at 6pm on a friday and wiuld ideally like to change it to around 3pm

Hi Stuart, I've just installed the app, a slightly later version than the one in your video - I have options to see 'My Peers', 'My Directs' and 'Pinned' but can't see how to see everyone in my selected Teams - please can you advise?

Hi. At the moment it doesn’t show members of the team where the app is located. This is something we’re looking at. You can use the Pinned list to create a list of colleagues you’re interested in or you can use the View By Site to view all people at a certain location.

If you’re on the Pinned List there is an option that says Edit List. That allows you to search all the users.

Have you imported it into Power Apps in Teams or the web Power Apps portal? It must live in Dataverse for Teams.
