I love it that you went to Genetix too early. So many people don't do that, and while it doesn't give you any points, it does give you the opportunity to put two and two together regarding the alien, and it also shows the station fully intact, which makes what you discover later on make a bit more sense.

I came here for the SQ games when Danny gave his shoutout, but i enjoy many of your videos and intend on sticking around after they are done. Always looking forward to the next upload and i hope a lot of the 2000 choose to stick with you as well.

Not sure if someone else saw this, but you actually see her get shot by the primordial ooze at 12:12, which is what I'm assuming she's talking about when she gets shot. Random question - does the game ever explain how the Goliath was infested by the Pukoids? was it because Quirk was carrying around some of the toxic sludge, or was it something to do with that Maggot alien turning on Quirk? It's been so long since I've played SQV that I don't remember. Looking forward to more, as always!!!

The colonists on Klorox II got mad that Quirk dumped Genetix's surplus primordial ooze on their planet, blasted off in their rocket, and went round to Quirk's pad (the Goliath) to surprise him. And surprise him, they did.
@corjonbett6 жыл бұрын
If you hail ship when arriving at Klorox, you get Quirk, who mentions that he's in the middle of a shuttle recovery.

Roger is remarkably strong if he can hold onto the ledge with ONE HAND while supporting the weight of two people. (Unless Thrakus has considerably lower gravity than he's used to.)

Like many of the people here, I've come for the space quest series. But I won't be leaving any time soon. You've got a great style of let's play, and excellent commentary. Love the videos, love you, and looking forward to watching you fight in doom! Keep being awesome, and we'll keep supporting your amazing channel!

There are numerous types of orbits that can happen. There is a geosynchronous orbit where the orbit speed matches the planets rotation so the ship is directly above one location. I expect that is a standard orbit as it means you are in teleportation range all the time. But you could have a polar orbit orbiting the north and south which makes it easier to scan the whole planet making kinda a basketball like pattern. Then you can have a orbits closer to the planet and further away.
@spacequesthistorian7 жыл бұрын
Intriguing! Thank you very much for clarifying that.

Yup, as hard as it is to believe, Bea got nicked when she tumbled and pulled Roger's pants down, and not on the Goliath. I never understood how it got through her clothes, yet the salvo they got (or not) when beaming out of the planet didn't do jack. :) And Thrakus using that very same soundtrack as Klorox II also ended up giving me nightmares, what with Quirk's new game face. And then you have the depressing music after having rescued Bea and having to save Cliffy's ass. Darkest moment of the game, but that's actually "good" story-wise.
@spacequesthistorian7 жыл бұрын
I was just watching that bit again today where Roger and Bea are hanging off the cliff, and I did notice she gets nicked by one of the blasts. But it just sort of hangs there. I thought it was a graphics glitch -- like one of the blasts that the pukoids were shooting that was supposed to clear off the screen, but glitched out and hung around instead. When I recorded the episode, I figured she got puked while she was on the Goliath, but managed to steal the escape pod and flee before the mutation got too severe. (It *is* a bit unclear how long it takes from infection to full-on pukoid mutant. On Klorox II, if you get spat in the face by Patrick Stewart, it's almost instantaneous. Maybe because Bea took it on the shoulder and the ooze had to go through her clothing, it was slower?)

Like others have said, I plan on sticking around after you are done with Space Quest content. I have grown to like you as a person in general, and I love the chill nature of the channel, even when things do get loud and exciting. Anyway, as for this episode, I am reminded that while I said Quirk had a punchable face in the past, I have a feeling that wouldn't be an optimal solution of dealing with the jerk at this point! And also, yes, you also covered the most clever death in the Space Quest series! I have told people who don't even play video games about that death while reading the text box word for word and they dig it.
@spacequesthistorian7 жыл бұрын
Thank you - that means a lot! I think punching Quirk in his puked out state would sound -- and feel -- like punching a paper plate of baked beans.

Throwing the horns! Yes! Not to be a broken record, but yeah, I dig your shows. Admittedly I gravitate towards Space Quest, but you're very entertaining and awesome, and I've liked Life is Strange and else heart.break(). Eventually I'll get through your entire catalog. Lastly, looking forward to t-shirts.

Thank you, sir. The early stuff isn't really worth catching up on, but I think I've settled into a good groove now, both in terms of visual quality and what games I play. Thanks for sticking around! As for t-shirts, there are some up on the Zazzle store, but ... I will get around to the "off he fucks" t-shirt some day! You'll be the first to know. ;)

I think one of the reasons SQ5 doesn't feel as much like a SQ game... is the amount of inventory puzzling is way down and there plot is a lot more complex. It almost reaches GK levels of dialog content too
@cybercop0083 Жыл бұрын
You are unto something there. In fact, I don’t think any of the previous SQs had anything resembling dialogue trees.
