As Brother Nouman has said - this Surah protects one from the punishment of the grave and hell-fire (In Sha Allah) and is only 30 ayats long. If there is one Surah to memorise - please make it this one. Trust me - if I can do it, then ANYONE can. It doesn't matter if it takes 1 week, 1 month or 1 year - we owe ourselves at least this much.

What a beautiful Syrah when Allah challenges the ones that don't believe to write a Syrah like this it is apparent that they will never be able to, not even come close. This Surah this Quran can only be the words of Allah. Norman does a great job in giving us a run down of it's meaning.

He said in the end that this life is not a curse and instead it is a portion of Allah's Mercy and that everyone who is alive today still has hope to turn back to Allah. It is kind of hard to believe that because how the world is and its people are. For example there are so many corrupt leaders committing so many atrocities to innocent people that it is really hard to think this way. Simple yet deep tafseer, Baraka Allahu fik ... when I heard a hadith about this surat that it intersect a young man from punishment of the grave , I had to memorize it and it took me 3 months because I was spiritually sick but Al HamduliAllah it's in my heart now .

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته. جزاك الله خيرا أستاذ نعمان وأرجو الله أن يبارك لنا ولك ويجمعنا في أعلى الجنان بصحبة رسولنا وحبيبنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم. لدي ملاحظة وأرجو أن توضحها بإذن الله وهو في حديث ذكرته “أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لا يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ الم تَنْزِيلُ ، وَتَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ " ، وصححه الألباني في " صحيح سنن الترمذي “. فالسورة الأولى التي يشير إليها هذا الحديث هي سورة السجدة والتي تبدأ ب(ألم، تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ). ولكن ما ذكرتهُ يخالف ذلك فقُلت (ألم، تنزيل الكتاب من الله العزيز الحكيم) وهذه الآية غير صحيحة. جزاك الله خيراً.
