Hi Tina! What medium do you use to seal your artwork so that it don't get smudged?
@TinaBaeyensArt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan! Whenever I work with acrylics, I use an acrylic varnish for my work. When I work with soft pastels, I actually never use a sealer. Since I try to keep a light hand and I use Pastelmat paper by ClaireFontaine, there is no need to seal the work. As for the smudging I always leave a border at the corners of my work that I tape off so that I can handle the work without any touching the soft pastel. When the work gets framed or shipped, I always put a mat/passe-partout around it and keep a little space between the mat and the work itself. That way, if some dust would fall down when the work is up on someone's wall, it will fall between the mat and the work itself, this way the mat stays clean and you won't see the dust. And always make sure your work is framed behind glass😁👌 Hope this helps!
