Thanks to years of selective breeding, Betta splendens today come in a variety of shapes, finnages, patterns, and colors. Mutations have also arisen that sometimes give us new and beautiful types of betta fish.
Although most mutations in the wild can be fatal to the betta, due to the abundance of food and care given in controlled aquariums, many mutants have a much higher chance of survival. This allows breeders to select for and propagate certain desired traits in bettas.
Along with these traits though, there are some issues that we need to know about to give better care to our betta fish. From what food the betta needs to maintain its red shine to other details, this video will help you in letting your betta thrive. Enjoy!
