I live in Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 💃 and orginially from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺 - I have been to Ireland🇮🇪 twice! I'm also Vegan and live a simple lifestyle and learning more and more on this journey. In Southern California work for a city 5 kids 22 to 8 yrs old I’m 51. Wife came back from terminal breast cancer. Alternative path when western medicine gave up on us. 2 yr journey. Having to deal with very serious chronic health issues has made my husband and I focus on what is really important in life. And to appreciate the "little things" in life. We live an extremely simplified life because we have to..... but we are now so grateful for it!

What a wonderful surprise visit with you both this morning! You are the cutest couple and I especially love the laughter. My sister and I say we putter around the house, meaning we are not doing much of anything but enjoying our day. I dabble in watercolor painting and knitting. I am retired out of the corporate world and really enjoy the simple life. My biggest spending is probably on groceries. So happy we have our Sunday morning visits together. My daughter visited Ireland, for two business trips and came home to tell me I would love Ireland. Hopefully one day that can happen. See you next Sunday! .

What a nice idea to do this Q&A - I’ve often wondered what you were like, and who that silent man popping up at the dinner table was! A pleasure to meet you, you are a charming and funny couple. We live in Cape Cod, on the Massachusetts coast, and it’s beautiful here, too, when it’s sunny, but can be cold and miserable when it’s rainy. It doesn’t snow much in the winter on the coast, so it just gets rainy and foggy. Lots of time to bake and drink tea.

That was so much fun! Really enjoyed seeing you both!! Are you Dubliners? I am and now living in Carrick on Shannon with thirty years in the US in between. I began organic wholefoods forty years ago when there was little to be found. I joined a coop that met in various locations- you ordered ahead and then picked up on a Saturday. It was great 😊 I spend a lot of money on food, always have, and feel it is well spent. Cooking is a passion for me. I agree about the supermarkets and do as much shopping as I can at the farmers market. My husband was a Terry too, and although he was an American and definitely not an Irish messer 😉 he made me laugh too.! Laughter is the best medicine. 😍 ♥️♥️ Lovely to see you both together ♥️

Well hello there you guys! Thanks so much for this Q&A; lovely to get to know you guys better and meet Terry 😁. We can tell he loves his job and is ALL about the camera equipment, lol. I’m grateful for that because the way he shoots Niamh’s ideas is exquisite 💗. I’m from Hertfordshire in the UK. I live with my husband and son in Texas, US and one of the reasons I so love Fairyland Cottage is all the nature on the channel. Gardening in TX is a whole different ballgame than gardening in England, the climate is very different and I haven’t really succeeded growing anything much here. Since watching this channel I have made small changes to become more environmentally aware but the rest of my family are not on board. I just do what I can and I’m still learning. Niamh, our biggest expenses are our cars (where I live doesn’t have public transport and walking isn’t feasible due to the heat and distances involved getting around) our animals (two elderly dogs and a horse I board half an hour away) and health insurance and related costs…oh my goodness to think I used to complain about the NHS. Please keep making your inspiring and calming videos showing the gorgeous area you live in and your wise and lovely outlooks on life. They give me so much joy and food for thought 🤗. Thank you!

Niamh, your Q&A video allowed your KZbin community to feel the warmth, love, and humour radiating from both of you. Terry is quite adorable and a real dag (Aussie slang for funny). My hubby and I also strive to be environmentally conscious, reducing our waste, reusing and recycling for many years. We eat a vegan plant based diet (with just an occasional junk food failing) and do not drink alcohol. As well as your yummy muffin recipes, I also love to make banana bread! The only thing possibly missing from your life that I can see is the loving companionship and devotion of another dog. Our golden retriever Alice is such a treasure - yes they walk in muddy footprints and drop hair everywhere, and yes they stop you doing stuff, and yes they are a bind..........and yes they will break your heart in the end, but their adoration, non judgmental nature and loyalty makes life so much richer in every way. We visited Ireland three years ago for two weeks and it was sunny all but the last day, so beautiful. People told us this was not the normal. It’s heart warming to see you laugh together, even when your messing. I’m going to borrow your phrase ‘pottering around’, love it! When we had a mortgage that was our biggest expense but now that we’ve paid off all debt and retired I’d have to say groceries is our main expense. We recently bought a house in the country and we’re getting back into gardening so growing some of our own produce will help cut food expense. Blessings.

What a delightful video! Biggest expense: definitely food (we have seven children, and food is the one thing that we can't buy second hand...although we do cut the expense by growing as much as possible). Favorite music: 1970's and 80's folk rock, although when I'm in the right mood, I love classical, especially Wagner. Much love from Texas!

Yes, usually hear an outpouring of swearing in Irish conversations. But living in a different country, "shite" and "fookin'" sounds almost musical and benign. But very glad you are sensitive to language. It is at pinnacle of culture and should be held in high esteem.

I enjoyed this video so much Niamh! As I wrote before, I lived in Dublin 6 years and in 2018 I was back for a few months and lived in beautiful Bray. Upon arriving in Ireland for the first time It was pouring. I had forgotten my umbrella but it wouldn’t have made a difference because the rain came down horizontally instead of vertically. Needless to say I got sopping wet so I had to change all my clothing, inside and out. All in all I loved Ireland and went back a second time. Once this pandemic is over I hope to go back and visit again.

That is so true! Once you see and recognize something you see it everywhere! This year I noticed bright red cars of all makes. But everything comes in plastic! We went to the Amish store here in our little town in Montana and EVERYTHING was packaged in plastic containers. And not even very reusable plastic. Ugh! You two are so lovely and I so appreciate your vlog each week💕
