Hi woolly if you remember I got the c/c survival tool it’s bigger brother and Chris has the very first one built CC001 so yours is the 28th companion built, I don’t think that many of either were built because he had trouble getting a reliable builder then went to USA to get battle horse knifes to build it and they knocked out a few then they stopped producing them and then I’ve never heard from him since, I met him and had several phone calls with him and was gonna do a one on one course with him before the states and he’s disappeared and no one heard from him since

I loved my kukri, it was a nice travel companion. I used it once to get un stuck by chopping willows to put under my tires. It was also had the " back off! " look to it.

Nice presentation. Bought a surplus Pakistani Kukri not too long ago and it's pretty good. The sheath, not so much. The flimsiest, crappiest sheath I have ever seen.

I prefer the Kukri because it has multi uses and is more suited to Fieldcraft. You can do more with it than any other knife. On top of which I love the Gurkhas - Ayo Gurkali

I have a very large and heavy SiruPate farmers Khukri that I personally bought in Nepal. It’s a great tool and can take the place of my axe AND knife although I don’t use it as much as I should…..

Boreal, temporate woodlands, I'll take the Skrama; Bamboo-cluttered rainforests, I'll grab the parang (Ben Orford makes an awesome one); and if I ever come back to life as a Napalese ridge-runner competing for a slot with the Gurkhas, I'll terrify my enemies with my Kukri skills!!! Honestly, where I call home, the southern base of the Smokey Mountains in northwest South Carolina, the Skrama would be the only rational, multi-useful tool to choose from; although, believe it or not, we do have spattering of bamboo groves, but not enough to warrant carrying a parang. Happy Whacky New Year Everyone!!!

Stihl frosty. I have many things like those, but I generally use an axe to chop. They have a place if you need to pack lighter/smaller than an axe.

I reallly like the skrama bcs of the long handle. It changes the point of balance right to where the grip ends, so you can do fine work with it as well, wich is unheared of a chopper. And i have glove size 12, and the handle is still comfy for me.

Still waiting for Wooly to get to the chopping. Then again why bother when theTramontina is clearly the best all-round bushcraft blade....chops trees, chops grass and scrub, can dig with it....and dirt cheap....what's not to like?....except the horrible sheath.
