I checked and that exact same spot looks like that in each of his runs. Either it looks like this normally or he has gotten really good at doing a splice specifically right there every run. Im thinking it's legit because any community that forms around speedrunning this game will know if it's legit or not and he would immediately get found out.

What setting are you changing when you pause?

Pretty sure it's frame rate since these runs are submitted under the "45-60 fps" category and lower fps makes top grabs more consistent

Idk why the guy above me couldn't just answer the question lol. Basically the game's physics are dependent on the game's frame rate, so the pausing is to change the frame rate depending on what skip he's going for. It mostly affects the jump pads, that's why there's a framerate in the top right changing between 60 and 45 fps every time they pause.

Sub 10 very close, no mess up on the first jump, maybe optimisation of the letter fall, no mess up on the grab laucher, and getting better with landing on the bumpers. Otherwise, knocking seconds off with skill and trial and error and luck for max speed everywhere. Dont know what the current record is but this is top tier!

Before doing the " first floor" turn, can you go left upward instead to just reach enough speed to clear to floor 4. I don't know if it is possible nor if it is a time save of any kind.
