I think Moscow-Paris stand of wouldnt be the Third Weltkrieg but more like the second round of ww2. Something like ww2 part2 or from otl, when Germany invading Soviets. Because its easy to divide ww2 into 2 parts. One where Germany fights the western powers and the other where the Soviets and the Americans properly joined the fight, making it an ACTUAL world war.

No you cant divide WW2 into 2 parts because Germany was fighting the allies since 1939, only France surrendered, however Britain still remained and continued to fight the Axis in Africa as well as Europe

With Barbarossa onwards, it saw the involvement of USSR and US later on, thus making the war much more global with much much higher degree of resources being mobilised. I think even the Wehrmacht officers can differentiate the time they only fought Britain and France, and the time they virtually fought the whole planet.
