I think the problem for Franklin was largely because he ran the ball on 1st down during the last possession and gained 12 yards. That almost compelled Franklin to give his QB a chance to make a play. Allar cr@pped the bed, for sure. But it was a convergence of circumstances.

I accused Penn State football fans for being happy with less midway through the season. I guess i was right. $8.5 million a year for this? This keeps happening man. Franklin is 1-15 now all-time vs top 5. For perspective, Kirby is 7-5. 4 losses to Bama really makes hiim 7-1. That's a head football coach to me who takes his foot off the pedal for his former team. Call me whatever you want, i watch and rewatch the games and live with the agony of another loss to Bama wondering when it stops.

Notre Dame has now faced 2 teams in a row with a new or banged up QB. Well guess what? Texas has 2 that can play, and Ohio State? Their QB is better than anything the Irish has seen and the rest of the roster is embarrasingly more talented and tested. Sure they lost to Michigan. I get that. I make fun of them for it constantly for 4 years now. This is not hate for some of you who don't know what words you use really mean it's simply me doing my homework. Tell me how Notre Dame beats Texas or OSU. I can't see it. Notre Dame won't see it.

That's when my Gators took'em behind the wood shed. I think the Irish can and will defeat the Longhorns or the Bucks, albeit in a close game. There's just something special about this team.
