What surprised me was that my Irish won without Love and Price having great days running. Leonard got his yards, but it was tough sledding in the trenches. ND also overcame "Yellow Flagitis" by the refs who seemed to be trying to do everything possible to keep Georgia in the game.

The SEC and BIG 10 only have themselves to blame. No one forced them to add Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. But now you've put yourselves in a situation where you have to play a gauntlet schedule just to get to the playoffs. Then a team like Notre Dame just has to swoop in and pick you off one by one while raking in millions and millions thanks to being an independent. That's what your conferences agreed to

Eh.. Hold on. It's not Notre Dame's fault that FSU turned into dogshit, and Miami BACKED OUT OF THE AGREED GAME they both scheduled in 2024......also USC not being clutch and losing most of their close games etc etc. Notre Dame's schedule wasn't that bad.....and it would have been a pretty tough schedule if those other teams had lived up to their end. Even Texas A&M couldn't hang tough and finish strong.

@raveouscarlias4479 I'm not saying Notre Dame wouldn't have had a tougher schedule if FSU and Miami hadn't fallen off of a cliff and backed out. I'm pointing out the genius of Jack Swarbrick. He was able to maintain ND's independence ensuring they keep all of the spoils from CFP revenue and avoiding stacked conferences, Negotiate more money from NBC, and guarantee that they at least have a shot at hosting a game. And all it cost them was a bye. If this current setup holds and ND recruiting/coaching holds or even improves, they have a very good shot at at least making the semis every year.

I like how the Irish matchup with Penn St. ND is faster and more dynamic on both sides of the ball. They can play a trench war game but have more perimeter speed. Penn St had a primrose path to this point, now you're going to have to play a real team full of men.

We have the athletes finally! We have a great leader of men as a Coach! People wanna use Beck being hurt as an excuse. He sucked all year. That freshman beat Texas and had a great game! Hats off to him! We had double the amount of flags and yards. We had way more injuries then they did! Significant ones! I don't wanna hear crap! Nobody gave us a chance! I can't believe how soft Georgia's running game was. They gave up on it so early. But they didn't rely on their running game all season (15 out of 16 in SEC). You can't turn that on. It's a mentality that ND has and Georgia doesn't.

Games not rigged ND loss to NIU is not who they are after that game ND was towards top of college in point difference and top 5 in all major defensive categories with at least 5 players who they lost for the season
