My brother and I just watched “Atlantis” on a sick day. It’s fantastic. It has Disney’s most “diverse” set of characters and a badass Disney Princess. None of it is forced or self-conscious. No need for woke politics or virtue signaling, just great writing, great art, great performances. Disney has fallen so far.

I went and saw this movie with my boyfriend as a date and both of us were sitting in the theater wondering what we were watching. The story felt like it was trying to be Encanto with its story but the characters and story were so all over the place that I didn’t find myself rooting for anyone. There was no tension for the “heroes” of the story to succeed and everyone just felt like a one dimensional figure. Which is such a shame because I really liked the animation style they were going for with the more stylized faces. I remember when I was a kid and Tangled, Wall-E, Brave and so many other great films came out that felt magical and inspirational but now I’m here as a young adult, an aspiring animator who wants to tell meaningful stories and help to bring wonder to children and adults again with this art form and it’s being poisoned with all of these woke ideologies and political agendas. It almost feels like the executives have clipboards with check boxes that they cross off for making sure every “politically correct” ideology is represented because God forbid someone gets offended or feel underrepresented.

Disney has always followed the money, back in the 1940s and 50s they just made really really racist and antisemitic movies. Like song of the south, a movie following slaves and how slavery is good. I miss the old Disney too, but let's be real here, we miss the middle part where Disney didn't think lying and pretending to give a shit either way would make them more money. Disney aren't left leaning, they treat there workers like shit, Disney will always be centre right, because all they care about is money. They cannot still believe social media like Twitter is a good indicator of their market. If their marketers keep making that claim they should be forcing them to produce their data. As a man I have grown to love the fact that most women have no clue about Star Wars. There are exceptions, but there seems to be a rule that the more femenine a woman is, the less likely she is to be invested into scifi and Star Wars. My wife gave me a Joda cup as a present once and said "because I know how much you like this green frog". This statement was almost better than the present itself. This is why we men love women - because they are so different from us, in the most adorable way possible.

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. YES! THANK YOU! Brett, I noticed the same thing too. Bob Chapek was basically Bob Iger's fall guy. 100%! People have been blaming Chapek for all this woke content, but people do not realize these projects don't get decided and produced in a year, not even 2. It takes years, 5+ sometimes, before projects get released. Iger was definitely the mastermind behind all this. He left when it was still okay, and Chapek ended up having to take the blame for this disaster.

Personally, I'm just jaded with modern films. Most of them are pushing and shoving "The Message" down our throats and any interesting story or characters are thrown to the wayside or just boiled down to their physical traits or who they sleep with. So, any film coming out is really hard to sell to me cause of the way modern films have been going.
