So glad I found your channel. You are filming some really great content. Thank you. I have a couple of Pilot Metropolitans and like them very much, although I just use cartridges. After watching your demo of how to fill ink, I might try it when I finish my cartridges. I do have my eye on a Kaweko Sport brass pen, although I am trying not to succumb to the siren song of pen buying. :)

It is a slippery slope. After buying many pens myself I really only have 2 that I really enjoy using over the others. It has more to do with function over form as well.

I started with the same two pens, around the same time. I never warmed up to the Lamy because it was so light. My third and current fav is an ahab, partly for the camphor smell, but mostly the soft nib. Just ordered a few Chinese pens, with plans to order a Kaweco knock-off in celluloid.

Yes the Lamy is very light. The Kaweco is also quite light and you might be partial for a metal Kaweco if you like the weight. I'm not sure I have a celluloid pen for comparison.

Hi Diego. Even though you don't have the Lamy Safari anymore, do you think it's well suited to wholearm movement penmanship, given that you have to bow the index finger onto the section. I'm using one because that's all I have, but I find the area to put the index finger quite small due to the triangular shape. What are your thoughts on Palmer Method with a Lamy Safari?

Hi Jerry, I had no grip problems using the safari for muscular movement. I had been practicing for some years by the time I got one so my grip was rather habitual by that point. Hard to say if it's good early on in practice.

Hey, Diego. When I was really interested in learning cursive over the summer, I found your videos on learning cursive very helpful. But... As time passed I sort of left the practice and I am back to square one. I still watch your beautiful things written with beautiful pens series from time to time though. When I wanted to learn cursive I bought my only fountain pen that is Lamy Safari Charcoal Fine and I use Noodler's Black Ink in it. I am interested in Pilot if it is available but if it is not that would fine, too. Hope you keep continuing with Beautiful Things Written with Beautiful Pens series, I find it very motivational and calming. Edit: I commented the text above halfway through the video when you told about commenting. There is issue with my entry that I don't have IG account. Anyway, I enjoyed the video and am looking forward to more.

I love fountain pens!!! I have a Lamy and a Metropolitan but that Green Kaweco with the gold nib is STUNNING! I can’t find it anywhere in Australia! Good work D, Love your work. 😊

Thanks so much! I found it on Amazon and it wasn't the best nib ever upon receiving the pen but I did a little tuning to it and gave it away to a lucky viewer last year.
