just wanna let you know, this guide is better than any other out there and makes every difficult part much easier to understand how to get this cape for someone that has no idea what to expect going in. i've spent time trying to watch The RS Guy, and many others vids and while they are nice and detailed, they have a certain way of i guess making it more confusing than it needs to be.

Pro tip for the first challenge. Bring a combat dummy mk2 and place it as soon as Zuk drags you into the circle. Target the dummy, threads of fate, weapon spec, and 4/5 of the little exploders should die instantly.

@@Atameow True but that would've been my biggest upgrade. I had a Gstaff EOF but was lacking most other upgrades. I could get the kill about 50% of the time, but it was really just coming down to getting lucky higher hits on the ranger. With Necro I was consistently waiting to begin moving to the next igneous, it's a lot more consistent with a lot less gear upgrades needed.

Defeated zuk for the first and second time today. Didn't get the igneous because of a wild fluke on pizza phase but got a scripture of ful on my 2nd ever kill. Very nice thanks a lot. Necro with execute is the way to go for sure

Feels like I need more details with some of the waves :-) first wave with Jad is pretty damaging. Getting hit pretty hard, almost dying before I get rid of Jad. Not sure what I am doing wrong but will keep trying. First fire cape 10 days ago (4 runs before getting it), fight kiln one 5 days ago (2.5 runs, forgot my melee weapon with the first one 😅). Zuk is going to take me more attempts than for the previous 2 capes 😂

Finally, a comment that resembles me! I can't seem to do the high damage everyone is talking about unless I have full adrenaline which I never seems to have. I guess if you don't damage Zuk enough before a challenge round, you have to redo the Igneous round and that got rid of a lot of my food. But the thing I can't seem to manage at all is the pizza round. I can't get off the fire area quickly enough. Sigh. I too will keep trying. Cheers. 🙂

​@@jimmymc1188keep taking advantage of free deaths and potions. That's what I'm doing. I probably died 15 times on the first Jad wave, until I changed from the SE corner to the NW corner. That made all the difference. I'm currently at Zuk and getting squished and burned really quick. I'm back at the video to watch again (and again and again) what to do next

You can do the third challenge without turtling or a shield swap. You can use your bone shield with resonance for the first attack and barricade for the second. This is more difficult to pull off because it requires two well-timed actions and 100% adrenaline.

One thing i noticed during the waves is that you didn't have your conjures up much. You can summon them (and command the ghost) for free after killing a mob, but before targeting a new one. The zombies aoe damage in particular is very good at the waves, since everything can be poisoned.

Yeah that's a good observation, I intentionally did this without "abusing" that bug/mechanic because it's not clear to me whether or not it's intended and if it gets fixed I didn't want it to invalidate the run/video. I've been utilising it a lot at zamorak (being the witch killer as necro gives you new summons every pad for free) but it feels like it's due a fix at some point.

Prayer works 100% on jad same as fight caves/kiln, same animations as well. If jad is firing at you then you need to match his attack to not take like 80% of your health (stomp is ranged, hind leg fireball is mage).

Tried Zuk with necro. Only got to him twice but every time it felt like he just outdamages any healing I can do. I straight chug brews and he just rails me. Couldn't even tell what was going on mechanically cause I was panicking spamming brews to live.

Are you using Soul Split or Reflect Melee? You should be using reflect melee so his hits do less than 2k.

Barricade with the **farseer kiteshild** from the low-end dungeoneering rewards shop gets me through the third challenge almost* every time. No turtling, no dinosaur farm perks, just the plain shield. *I say almost because on my most recent run at Zuk, my barricade failed halfway through the challenge and it ended up triggering my Anachronia Defense cape. I don't know how or why, because my strategy is 1. resonance the first hit, 2. barricade, and 3. take the time to breathe and relax, so I wasn't paying attention to what happened. I don't think the timer ran out, but it's possible so I felt I should mention it

You don't actually need to clear Zuk's 50k before the challenge wave in one go to get a flawless run. You just need to beat the challenges themselves.

No, just use anticipation before pizza phase and run to minion 1. Kill minion 1 and get ready to run to minion 2. Kill minion 2 or mostly damage minion 2. Surge to minion 3, break minion 3 bubble and then thread of fate minion 2 & 3 + wep spec once they are within 4 tiles of each other. 2 surges helps but 1 is totally fine

You can very comfortably throw touch of death, soul sap and skeleton warrior into revo, this leaves volley, finger, death skulls and the other 2 conjures to be manually cast. It would be possible to revo further by including volley and finger but you would lose a fair bit of agency over your resources by doing so, and would likely feel adrenaline starved. However, it would get the job done, the main problem would be ensuring you have the adrenaline available to threshold the ranger in pizza time.

The t70+ death guard has a weapon spec called death grasp, in order to use it there's a constitution ability for weapon specs

why not just use bone shield instead of bringing a shield? swapping to a shield removes conjures but i loved the guide

Because you need turtling perk

The shield level and turtling perk are both required to increase the duration of barricade. It's only used for that challenge and you don't need to DPS during that challenge so losing your conjures is no worry.

how does he hits you under 1k each hit? in my runs he does 1k+ in melee damage even if i have the protect melee pray and thats what is keeping me from killing him because i have to eat food every time and mess up with the defensive skills because he does a lot of damage on autos

There's no necromancy helm, while the boots are hybrid and therefore don't affect your accuracy. Running an offstyle helm would lose you dps against anything that you don't have 100% accuracy on with it.

Death mark (applied by t90 power gear or the invoke death incantion) is an execute with a cap of 30k, so once he falls below 30k with that applie he instantly dies.

Good point! For someone who's never done zuk before it probably makes sense to go for this after getting t90 weapons, the gwd2 bosses are a bit easier than this and that'd also give access to very good tank armour. If you've run it before or feel confident then it should be doable with t80, but I probably wouldn't recommend doing it with t70.

Persistent rage was changed and buffed! It doesnt just stall adrenaline for you now, it regenerates it when not in combat so you will go back to 100 between fights (which also means you could leave one mob alive at the end of each wave if you wanted and persistent rage into regeneration cycle to full health for the cost of some time if you wanted to)

I have only done runs with base power gear and no zuk cape so far. Considering that was enough to beat my ranged PR with an SGB, I imagine T95 necro will smoke this place.

I did the cape before it with no prior experience and much worse stuff than he's using in this video and it was easy peasy. The only issue is mobs that need melee attack to break their armour, so bring a melee wep or melee familiar for them. I used sailfish for food, but barely ate any because the ghost heals so much and normal T90 necro gear.
