Its real-world counterpart is the Groza-2 in OTs-14-2a-04 configuration. In our timeline, the Groza was only made in two of the four calibers that were originally planned for it, the Groza-1 in 7.62x39 and the Groza-4 in 9x39. The Groza-2 would have been the 5.45 version, and the Groza-3 would have been the 5.56 version for us Western spies. In CoP, you can buy the 5.45 Groza from Nimble. It's called "Storm" if I recall. Fitting name since "Groza" means "Thunder." In the Anomaly mod, it's replaced with the Groza-1 in 7.62x39 and sold by Nimble just like in CoP, but he sells it regularly instead of you having to place an order and receive something from a random selection. The 5.45 Groza is Barin's signature weapon. He hangs out in the Army Warehouses around the camp next to the desolated village. In ShoC, I think the only way to get his gun is if he dies to Deth. I've never thought to try this, but there might be guns he likes better, so if you toss him one he likes, he might ditch his Groza for it. In Oblivion Lost (and this might depend on version), if you sell him certain guns, he'll make his Groza available to buy from him. And it's cheap.

There is also a Duty member in a Duty SEVA at Rostok in ShoC. I remember him cause he died going out of the base, killed by pseudodogs and anomalies in my very first playthrough. I was coming back from X-18 and got this beauty - let's say that the first playthrough was done entirely on this weapon.

So I did some testing. So long as you do not speak to Wolf after saving Nimble, Sid will continue to sell the Tunder545 forever. You can indeed clear the Bandit camp, save Nimble, and even give the flash-drive to Sid and continue the story. What is even crazier is that you can actually buy it more than once so you can return and get a new one if/when you need/want it.

wait, it is gone forever if you talk to wolf wtf ? i started a 2nd playthrough in hardest difficulty, fqed the bandits with pmm like a pro barely took any damage, did sudequests , hunt artifacts, collected stashes, and had like 20k rubles in no time... so i thought i would get this gun since i'd the money... man i feel so bmmed out...

It's a bummer indeed. What's worse is that Wolf will eventually go to Army Warehouses after you go to Agroprom where he will likely die by standing in a campfire. Which happened to me in my latest playthrough. It would also appear that, if you don't speak to Wolf, Nimble will eventually wander back to the Bandit base and get killed. A-Life is probably the worst feature of the game.

​​@@officedullard8722 i started a 3rd playthrough lmao to get the Tunder5.45 . wrecking everything with it. BUT, are u sure that Sid sells it more than once? cuz my testing says otherwise. Is nimble and wolf both supposed to be alive for Sud to continue selling it is what are u saying? i have no idea where nimble is lol. i ended up back at Cordon mid game after quite a while and been trying to get another copy of Tunder-5.45 but Sid doesnt seem to sell it again, i have tried after discarding/despawning/unequipping/dropping my Tunder, but Sid doesnt sell it anymore no matter how much i quickload. I am exclusively using tunder and it still has like 85%-87% durability. But yeah would have been nice if game allowed to repair it or gave copies. One of my sidequest had me jumping on a group of loners north of central bar duty hq near bl00dscker village. but one of the guy wasmt aggroing on me despite me k&lling his buddies, walked up to him and lmao it was wolf, i immediately quickloaded and avoided interacting with him. But yeah sid doesnt sell copies it seems like.

If you're playing base SoC without any mods, you haven't spoken to Wolf, Sid should still have his original buy/sell inventory. If so, he will still sell. Sometimes, I have noticed, it can take a LOT of quick-loads to have it appear in his inventory again. As for repairing, I have found an interesting bug. If you down and enemy, he will drop his gun at 98-100% condition. I've been trying to find a way to make it so you can repair weapons this way. I have sort of found a way. I dropped the 9x18 mp5, let a bandit take it, and then immediately killed the bandit. He will drop the mp5 at around the condition enemies usually drop their weapons. It did repair the mp5 by a little bit, but I could never get it, even with downing instead of killing, to get it to repair to full though.

I think I remember getting this gun from one of the npc's where the dogs are before the bar. It might be that gun but's its been so long since I last played. I remember having to reload several times to get that one npc to get killed by the dogs. The reason I liked the gun was the ammo it used which was really easy to get at that time. I kinda felt bad for some reason but the gun helped sooth my tears :) lol. Nice video and thanks for that trick to buy it.

Interestingly enough, when I played through on one of my first times, I didn't do the starting mission, and therefore never got the knife, and ended up coming back and seeing the 5.45mm rifle for sale WAY later in the game, and so I ended up with the weapon. I also for some reason joined freedom, and then the mercenaries took over the cordon home camp as well, and since I was neutral to them, I got to actually interact with them. It was surreal how different that playthrough was to all the others where I had a knife and was typically Duty, so it made me not realize it was even the same game, and then it suddenly clicked. Interesting how it works in the zone, stalkers, and how the game can still surprise us.
