The older Homelite/Textron stuff was nice. I picked up this gem 1979 Super XL automatic chainsaw by them a few years back free. It's sweet, magnesium case, carb right under a service port held in by a wingnut directly above the block. Cuts great too. No chain brake though, that's how they rolled back than, you knew to respect the thing. I hung onto that one.

LOL,, yea, baby sitter technology! Those were nice, I had an old Dayton, was a beast, got it for $2 I sold it a few years back cuz I just didn't need it.

I got the same one, however I can't get it fire with starting fluid and it has spark. What could it be?

Check compression! These 2 strokes need at least 100psi or more If thats Ok, then take the muffler off

Maybe search amazon or HIPA parts,,, often start with the model and name then look at the pics

I knew a guy who has the ability to test for spark by holding the spark plug wire I'm not doing anything like that

LOL We used to lick 9 volt batteries to test them!

@@TheNovaJohn I remember that one from back in the day one day I was wiping my grand daddy's craftsman eager 1 push mower and I got a shock from the spark plug needless to say that hurts 🤕😳
