I love these clips. Although I certainly do not claim any degree of authority on the arts, I was a young man during this time with the opportunity to see Europe and Asia courtesy of Uncle Sam. My exposure was to Rock, Country, and Jazz. I usually heard this kind of music that jrryplz put together in commercials, movies, or "easy listening" stations back in the States. Somewhere in the Philippines or in Italy. I also picked up these sounds. At the time, it was just pleasant filler music that entered into my life. Now, I see these artists and their works from a different perspective. Tape recording, camera equipment, orchestration, and musical composition reached its zenith during this period. The various genre of music started to mix together during the late 60's and 70's, as well. Of course, money was available to hire large orchestras. I probably opened up a can of worms but I do believe popular music began to go downhill from this time. That is sad for me because my own age group (older baby boomers) began to take over in the early Seventies to the early Nineties. No doubt some great music came from these talented people; however, they came along at the early stages of the decline of Western Music. Sorry for the long comment. It was a spur of the moment thing. Good job, Jerry.
